I can actually drive but choose not to as very rarely go out on my own apart from the local town; I just don't drive longer distances.

As predicted no ebay sales last week but had one on something I listed on Saturday so that has been posted yesterday along with the form for the jury service. Bear out to the secure field yesteday which he loves. As soon as we arrived he was bouncing around the car as far as he could with his seat belt on and when we left he was pulling to go back into the field.

I have, at last, made a start on the fence today. Only one and a half panels done as although it was sunny when I started the clouds came over and it looked like rain. It didnt but to be honest I had had enough by then anyway. Bear spent the time I was painting pottering in the garden keeping an eye on me. Made cullen skink for dinner tonight or stinky soup as its known in this house. Shopping done this afternoon and spent under £60 which was pretty good for us. Tonight I have ordered some vegetable seeds as one of the on line companys I get emails from had them for 89p a packet which seemed quite good having looked at the ones in Sains****.  I have also emailed the garage door people about a new one but not heard back yet. I will give them a couple of days and if I dont hear I will ring them. I hate phoning people so put it off if I can.

Bear has not been good today barking and growling at other dogs and also at a random man who dared to pass us. He has reached the stage where he feels safe to start challenging us. We will get past it in time. On the good side he sat in our car which has a sliding door at the side with the door open and Mr LH sat next to him without moving when we went to the supermarket until he saw me returning with the shopping. Then he tried to escape and got a bit frustrated as he was tied in. He is at present fast asleep in his bed which he has started to use.

I dont think there is anything else today so will say goodnight and sweet dreams.

No spending today except a couple of dd.  No painting today as it wa too cold and windy. Instead I maade 3 steak and kidney pies - 1 will do 2 meals so we had that tonight and the other half is now in the freezer along with the 2 smaller  ones. All cooked in one go so a saving and as bil buys the kidneys for me and wont accept money for them it makes a fairly cheap meal. Aching knees after standing cooking so other than a dust and hoover downstairs not much else done.

Usual walks for bear who barked and growled at a dog this morning but after a little bit of a reminder how to walk did so beautifully with a loose lead. He sat on the sofa in the conservatory watching me cooking this morning but he is so good and never comes near when I am cooking or eating and waits very well for his meals until he is told he can have it.

Thats it for tonight another exciting day chez lthe ladyholly house. Goodnight.

Its been too cold to do any paintting the last couple of day as it apperently needs to be 5 or above and it hasnt been especially with no sun. Instead I have made 4 steak and kidny pies  - 3 for the freezer and 1 to eat yesterday evening. A quick dust and hoover downstairs also yesterday. Today I decided to start tidying the garden a bit  and while pulling up weeds I discovered that Teddy is trying to grow a sock tree. I found one of my socks half buried in one of the planters. He must have found it on the pile I had on the floor before it went in the machine a few days ago. He is going to be disappointed if he is expecting socks because I have pulled it up.
I have planted one or two types of seeds before I got too cold so we will see if anything happens. I am hoping its not too cold yet. I will do a bit more tomorrow depending on how cold it is.

Nothing happening on the money side as I havent been out since Tuesday so the only money spent is on dd. I have done some surveys and have cashed out £5 which should be in paypal in a couple of days and I have bids on a couple of very very cheap items which will go in the Christmas/ Birthday fund. I have enough in there to cover Birthdays and about £50 toward Christmas. One advantage I have found of rising prices is that I have more loyalty card points which I always save for Christmas. (Sorry to mention the C word in March).

Nothing else happening at the moment so peaceful weekend to all.

Been MIA for 10 days. I have not been feeling great mantally - no motivation to anything beyond the essentials and arthritis is not good. However enough excuses.

In the last week or so £100 to the household account for ongoing repairs etc, £50 to car account and on the 20th there is  £150  to the emergency fund which will stand at £850. Water bill has gone from £57 pm to £60 and the council tax has gone from £152pm to 162 pm which I dont get as that is more than 5% that the government said it was limited to. I havent yet checked which part of it is over the 5% as they list police, town council, fire and social care seperately so I can see what is going on.

After spending ages on the phone to the jury summoning people I got the answer I wanted and I have been excused.then in the post I got the official letter with the same answer. I spoke to my bil last night and both he and my sister have been called in the past as was my father. I think they must like my family.
More later Mr  LH is on his way and will want the computer.

Mine too has gone up over 5% but the council has only gone up 3%, which is more than last year, but the police has gone up by 6.6%.

Last week I arranged for a quote for the new garage door and then Mr LH decided he would see if he could fix it.  No he couldnt so I was going to try again for a quote but he said he had an idea that might work if I emptied the front half of said garage. We now have  a conservatory full of stuff that should be in the garage and he still hasnt looked at it. I await developments but I wouldnt mind betting he decides we need a new door.

Bear has been doing quite well and will sit and watch most other dogs rather than trying to get to them. He has been to the secure field weekly and his recall has been pretty good until yesterday. He was a pain and absolutely refused to listen or recall. He just wanted to run around and dive into the puddles which were amongst the sea of mud that constituted the the. When it was time to leave i.e. the heavens opened and we called him he absolutely refused to come to us so we could put his lead on. He then decided to go into the tunnel on the agility part of the field to shelter while Mr LH and I tried to get him out, Eventually he came out after the tunnel was gently kicked multiple times and with the aid of treats he was finally put on the lead. Mr LH and I were soaked especially as the zip on Mr LHs anorak broke in the middle of chasing him around the field. Since then he has been as good as gold. He now has 3 or 4 dogs that he is quite happy to be around which is lovely to see.

Shopping this afternoon as usual but when we got home I found I had missed putting several items on my list so will have to pop out later in the week. The good news is I think our bus stop is back in operation which will make things easier.

A couple of ebay sales this weekend so the birthday/ Christmas pot is increasing nicely but I havent listed anything new this week (lack of motivation kicks in again but will try  to do some later this week).

I dont think anything else of importance has happened so will just say goodnight and pleasant dreams.

    Lovely to see you.
I had to smile at the thought of bear sheltering in the tunnel while you and mr LH got soaked in the rain.  That's a very smart dog.
