Frustrating about the train. Definitely better to reschedule with all the disruption at the moment."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Fortunately for the first time I checked the train before I left home so at least didnt have a wasted walk to the station. I rang my brother in law to let him know and said I will try tomorrow. I should have gone last week but couldnt due to the strikes. Next week I have my covid vacc. on Monday so dont want to go Tuesday as you never know how it will affect you and Wed I have a neurologist appointment which generally leaves me washed out and I find Friday is a horrible day to travel. Consequently I have spent most of the day asleep trying to pre-empt the effects of two early mornings together and then a long journey. (Sometimes I feel like such a wimp with all the tiredness but it is what it is and all part of the myasthenia.).Tonight to make the day really special I put my hand on the cooker forgetting I had been using the ring and have a penny size blister despite running cold water on it it for ages. It isnt a serious one but is a bit peinful. On the good side the sale that hadnt been paid for has now been paid after I sent a strong but polite message. I thought i could cancel after 3 days but it is 4 so I thought it was worth a second message. The excuse being she is looking at bidding on something that ends Sunday but not being psychic I didnt know that. Anyway it is paid for but she will have to wait until Friday for it to be posted. I have also sold another item which will also go Friday.Nothing else to tell so Goodnight and wish me luck for the train tomorrow.2

The trains today ran perfectly. Unfortunately I foolishly didnt book a taxi when I arrived to get back to the station so had to leave a bit early as they could send one at 1.45 but not at 2.15! Apparently all to do with school pick ups. What time do they finish school these days? When I got back to my station there were a lot of people getting off the train ( I thought they said train use was down but there were far more than usual) and I got trapped in my seat until they had all got off. Unfortunately as I had to pick up my case which was on the shelf under the top one then get off I got trapped with the doors trying to close on me. I fought them and won.Nothing else tomight but I have some some more very low value stuff to list. I will take it slowly as I have a lot on there at the moment and will wait until there is an 80% of final value fees off. Probably in about a fortnight.I hope all have had a good day and a peaceful night.

Schools round our way seem to start anytime from 7.30 to just after 9. Then start going home from around 2.30 until after 4pm. Why are kids being picked up in taxis, what happened to school buses or walking home 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I think the taxis are mainly used for special needs pupils who are not safe walking or cycling home on their own and with most mothers working they are unable to collect. School buses seem to have largely disappeared.

We have still not turned the heating on and although I did wear a fleece yesterday (my BiLs house is colder than ours and I was sitting around on stations) I am back in short sleeves today. I did wear a coat to go to the PO as it was raining but not for dog walking. The big news today is I have raided various accounts to pay off another month on the loan which means that when this months payment goes out on the 20th of the month the loan should all be paid. There may be a small amount of interest to pay but at the most it will only be a couple of pounds. That is a huge weight of our shoulders and means any ebay money will now go into savings plus most of the money that is paying the loan at present. Hopefully after Christmas we will have enough for a new garage door. Ours is very rusty and has been repaired numerous times.2 loads of washing done which is now decorating the bedroom to dry. I will have to move it when I go to bed but it will eventually dry. Considering two early mornings I dont feel too bad. Nothing else tonight.Sweet dreams.2
