Thank you all. Yes all went well at the hospital. I now have a beautiful black eye and only a little irritation. The good news is for the first time in I dont know in how long I can actually see out of both eyes. It is going to take a bit of getting used to as my eyes have always worked independantly anyway so I am now back to sometimes seeing two views. Its not double vision as I have to blink to get the second view. Difficult to describe but if you look at something with one eye and then with the other you get the same effect but I get it without having to close my eyes. A bit unfortunate the lovely nurse at the hospital insisted she would ring Mr L to pick me up but as she has an accent (possibly SE Asian but I didnt ask) and Mr L doesnt hear well he thought she was from an Indian call centre and gave her a mouthful before the poor woman could get a word out. He had to apologise profusely.A bit washed out this morning so I think the only activity will be dog walking plus the usual cooking, washing up etc,. The little one seems a lot better and is more settled with her new food. Unfortunately she loves it but to eke it out I might mix it with Chappie. I have it anyway for Mr H has it as he had a bout of acute pancreatitis a couple of years ago.I hope you all have a good day.1

Incidentally we have only had the heating on twice and both times was for the dogs after getting very wet. Even then it waas only on for about half an hour and at the moment I am sitting by the patio door which open into the conservatory which has the door open. The temp in here is still 19. We are lucky to live in a mild part of the country.

It’s been very mild here too. Yesterday was very warm. My heating is set to come on if the temperature drops below 18 and it’s not kicking in at the moment which is a very welcome bonus this time of year.Glad it went well yesterday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I did more than intended today but am still very tired. Even local anaesthetics knock me sideways for a few days. My eye looks as though someone has hit me and is a bit sore but ibuprofen is largely keeping it under control.I have cashed out £5 on surveys. I dont do many so it takes ages to get there, Nothing spent as I havent been anywhere. Little one seems ok but refused her breakfast again. Mr H is having a good couple of days and his legs have only been a little wobbly.I have a bid on one of my ebay items which has been on for a while so assuming it is paid for I will be able to add a little to the savings account. The workman laying fibre cables are right outside our house now. I will be glad when they have finished and we can use all the paths around the green freely again.Gosh its warm today and its supposed to be similar tomorrow. More days with no heating. I bet when it does turn colder we will all feel it more than usual. By the look of the forecast we will be nearer average temperatures next week.Still waiting for the bank to tell us the loan account is closed but perhaps letters are delayed with the postal strikes and their letters have never been that fast (except in the bad old days when we were constantly in overdraft). I havent used that facility for about 3 year now.Enough whittering for now. Take care.1

Glad your procedure went well, and good news about your vision!
Sorry to hear about little one.

Good evening. My eye is looking much better. The swelling has largely gone down and the redness has turned to a faint yellow colour. It is still tender and the stitches are itchy but nothing too bad.. I went to collect my prescription yesterday and the pharmacist took one look at me and asked what i had done to my eye. I did think of saying my DH had hit me but didnt. The bank has returned our £1.05 and closed the account so that is completely finished with. I havent been anywhere so no money has been spent. The £5 from surveys has gone into paypal so thats ok.Jobs done for today - a little bit of weeding, dusting throughout the house, dog walking multiple times, cooking, washing up etc.I defrosted one of the steak and kidney pies I made a couple of weeks ago for dinner with veg and mashed potato and Mr L said he really enjoyed it and had the little bit I was saving for my lunch tomorrow as seconds. Very odd as he always says he isnt keen on pastry!Thats it for this evening so wont bore you any longer. Enjoy your evening.1

Great news that your eye is healing and that you've closed the loan account and got your money back"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

To be honest I was impressed he even noticed as he was quite a distance from me and I didn't think it looked that bad.1
