This reminds of when Mr SA fell down the stairs, ended up in hospital and told everyone I’d pushed him. Thankfully no one believed him.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I did tell one friend Mr L pushed me when I fell down the stairs a few weeks ago. She just laughed as she knew I was joking.

Todays jobs have been a load of washing which is in the bedroom drying as it is damp ( or pouring with rain) here so no chance of outside drying. I have given the fridge a good clean and tidied it already for shopping this week. Its not really big enough but will have to do until it breaks down. I even pulled it out and cleaned behind it. There was some sour milk today. It doesnt seem to be keeping as long as usual so not sure what is going on. Usual dog walks plus the little ones extra to go out for toileting. I have also taken Mr H out for a couple of extra short walks to help the muscles in his back legs either improve or at least get no worse. I have hinted to Mr L about this as it affects my breathing to keep taking them out but got no response . I seem to spend half the day in and out with them. Cooked some sweet potato for Mr H for his tummy as his tablets don't help it. Also did the potatoes for roasting for this evenings roast dinnerUp early as Mr H cant read the clock to tell him the clocks have gone back but strangely the litttle one went back to bed after her tablet and early walk but then didnt move until her usual time.I had the letter yesterday from DWP telling me I was going to receive £250 heating allowance in Nov/ Dec. It is usually £100 so that will go in the savings account. Not heard about Mr L's yet but no doubt it will appear at some point. Had a couple of sales today so a trip to the PO tomorrow along with Aldi and Sainsbury which are also in the little shopping centre a 7minute bus ride away. The good news is Royal Mail staff have called of their strike for this weekand next so no problems posting them. 1 has been paid for I just hope the other one is before the morning or I will have to go again on Tuesday.Off now to read my book as there is nothing I want to watch on TV.

Morning lady holly.I’ve just finished reading your entire diary and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading it. You mentioned several times that it was boring but far from it.Congratulations on paying off the loan. It’s great that any money from sales can now go into your savings pot.I hope the black eye is disappearing. If Plan A fails, remember there are 25 more letters1

Thank you. I cant believe you have read all of it.The black eye is gradually going but my eyelid where it was cut and stitched is still quite painful not helped by catching the corner of my pillow on it last night. Now the swelling has gone down I am very pleased with it as although my eyes still droop when I get tired or am due for meds they at least more or less match. The op I had comes under the auspices of plastic surgery (medically needed) and even if I was planning on having any I wouldnt after having this done.Off now to do parcel packing and to continue the rounds of getting the dogs out. They have been out once already. Will be back later.2

A trip to the PO to post the ebay parcels and then to Sainsbury. As I had to walk because yet again the bus was early and the next one disappeared off the app before it got here I didnt get to Aldi as I was too tiired so will have to try again tomorrow. I will write again to the bus company and also to the CEO. Perhaps they can do something because this has only been happening recently so I think the driver are rushing so they get a longer break. Not much else tonight as Mr H isnt too good so I will be trying to get a vet appointment tomorrow. This will be complicated by the little one having an appointment at her vet at 3.20 which I cant move as the one she has been seeing is only at our surgery on Tuesday and she is on holiday next week.Things just get more complicated with them.A peaceful Halloween to all.1

MIA yesterday as not feeling brilliant. I think I had been rushing around too much as we had a friend round who always likes to sit in the conservatory which thanks to it still having Mr L tools in from dismantling the trailer tent hasnt been cleaned recently. I managed to give it a qick clean so it at least doesnt look too bad as long as you dont look too closely. His first comment when he came down was where are my tools? I am am tempted to just chuck them all in box and put them in the garage but I know if I do that they will stay there and it doesnt help with the cooker unit, the box of emergency stuff, the bed and the reflective window cover all from the van and waiting to go back in when he can be bothered. Not to mention the water bottle that feeds the sink and the van fridge. Now you know why we needed to have the conservatory rebuilt. Anyway a nice visit from our friend and later on a trip to the vet with the litlle one. She is doing well and has gained 0.3 kg in a week which is half what she had lost in the previous fortnight. She is off the steroids as they were giving her bad side effects but if she starts coughing again the vet has suggested an inhaler. Not sure how that will work for her and if it comes to it I think we will have to fight her with it. The vet has agreed tht a cheaper food is acceptable so I will mix them at least to start with to see how she gets on with it. She has become very fussy in her old age and if she doesnt like it wont eat.Didnt take Mr H to the Vet as he is much better at the moment but we will be seeing the vet on Friday anyway. He seems to be in pain sometimes. He is hunched up and panting a lot but at least his wobbly walking isnt too bad and he hasnt fallen over in the last couple of days. It is so difficult to watch him on the bad days and we are keeping note of them as when the bad days outnumber the good we will know that his time is short. This morning I went to make my bed and found it was wet where the little one had been so I had to change it. Shopping this afternoon as it was delayed from yesterday and got anti freeze, and screen wash for the car plus ordered an air filter. That lot was almost £45 which was more than I expected. Shopping was frustrating as there were lots of empty shelves but I got most of what I needed or reasonable substitutes. The follow up for my eye came through and wouldnt you know it. It is the same day that I am at the theatre with DD. As long as the eye clinic is fairly well to time I should be ok for getting home and hopefully will make it back in time to get the local bus after the trip from the city. Will make a stew in the slow cooker so no cooking when I get home except for boiling some potatoes.Mr L has insisted the heating goes on so it is pretty warm in here. We almost made it to November so I shouldnt moan too much. It is only on in the evening as I very rarely put it on in the morning.Off now to watch the latest episode of the repair shop after checking for surveys.1

That’s just typical the eye appointment came through the same day as the theatre trip.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Frustrating day to say the least. I came down this morning to find Mr H had a disgusting accident on the lounge carpet. Spent a fair time scrubbing at 7am cleaning it up. Then later on cleaned with the carpet cleaner, I think its all up but I think we are going to need a professional cleaner at some stage. When the post arrived there was a bill for Mr H meds which should be on his insurance. Rang the vet and the bill was from the 30th September and they hadnt submitted the claim. Not sure why but they said they will do it straight away.To complete the morning Mr L came down waving his hot water bottle which he said had leaked all over his bed. I asked if he had stripped the bed - No! He had just put a damp towel on the wet patch. We have had to have the heating on all afternoon to dry the mattress and we have just remade his bed. It is now like a sauna in the house. The consolation is it was due to be changd anyway. It turns out the bottle hadnt leaked the top wasnt screwed on properly. I now have 2 racks of washing ( I had already done 2 loads this morning ) plus a machine full waiting to go on when I have room to dry it.We have been and bought some puppy pads in case of more accidents as its not his first but I am not convinced he will use them. No doubt I will find out in time. He has the vet tomorrow so will mention it but as his meds give hive an upset tummy I am not sure there is much we can do. He has a very sensitive tummy and the paste the vet give you (sorry sells you) is qute expensive in the quantities needed as a permanent thing.Cashed out a fiver on surveys but that will just replace the charity donation that went out today. Still at least that is covered. The only other spend was the pad at £4.98 which I had in my purse.Hopefully a nice relaxing evening now and hope every has the same.1
