I had a terrible nights sleep so have felt like death warmed up today. Very little done except taking the little one to the vets. They have doubled her frusemide as she is still coughing a lot. I dont think the vet has been qualified long and I got the impression I know as much about mitral valve disease as he does. He was trying to tactfully tell me that she doesnt have too long to live. We know tthat but at the moment her breathing is fine and until that starts to get worse we will do the best we can for her.I have written a couple of post it notes with the details of their meds as they are gettig so complicated I am in danger of missing something. They are stuck on the side of the kitchen cupboard next to the dried food.Nothing done on the trailer chassis as I dont think Mr LH was feeling too brilliant today either. I know he didnt go to bed until about 5.30am so didnt get too muchsleep either.I was going to do a bit more weeding but Ihad accidentally left my kneeling cushion outside and it rained last night so it was raather we this morning. I will see what its like tomorrow.Off to watch the detectorists in a few minutes. Have a quiet night.3

Re 'Detectorists' - Mr F thinks he has read somewhere that there might be some new episodes planned. Hope so!

A vet told me my Tom cat wouldn’t live much beyond 8 as he fought a lot and had to have several doses of antibiotics. Another vet diagnosed him with a tumour when he was 15 and said he didn’t have long left. He lived to be 21!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

There must be something in the air with poor sleep. Hope you had a better night last night."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

I am not worrying too much but the coughing is not a good sign. I have had different opinions from different vets but we have to allow she is 16 in October so she is in the latter part of her life.jwil said:There must be something in the air with poor sleep. Hope you had a better night last night.
Yes last night was better for sleep but am still feelng the effects today. I will just see how much I can get done without exhausting myself which is far too easy. It gets very frustrating as my brain says do this that and the other but my body says not a chance sunshine. I end up feeling my legs are about to give way, my breathing sounds like steam train and it takes sheer will power to even do the most mundane task like washing up. Having said that I can lead an almost normal life which many with MG cant so consider myself lucky.

Not too bad a day activity wise. Ironing done this morning. It only gets done about once a month so there was a fair bit. I then continued weeding the patio area at the bottom of the garden and put some white vinegar down to hopefully catch the tiny bits that are too small to get easily. Not much done as I got very tired but have made some progress. I also made a start on sorting some books to go to the charity shop. Not sure how I am going to get them there but I will work something out.
This afternoon Mr LH got the axle off the remains of the trailer. Very hard work and when we moved it it was very heavy. He also removed the wheels from the axle. There is now just the outline of the trailer plus the part that the hitch was attached to.About to list a couple of items on ebay and will do some more in the morning. Not an exciting day but got something done.Have a peaceful night and for those who are not feeling at their best get well soon.2 -

2 months to go and the last months will be slightly less than the usual payment. It will be such a relief to clear it. I knew it would be a push to pay it but the fact that my BiL has given us a certain amount of stuff to sell that was my Mums and sisters has gone a fair way to helping to pay it off early. When its gone we will owe nothing to anyone and I can concentrate on a proper emergency fund.

Hooray Mr LH has finished dismantling the trailer tent. Now all we have to do is get it all to the tip which will take several trips due to the weight of it. Out to Al** and Sain***** this morning to get dog food for Mr H , still none for the little one so will look when we go to Tes** tomorrow. When I got home I did the boring things like make the bed, washed up etc. I also listed some more bits on ebay. I have actually sold something this afternoon - only a couple of pounds but it will go in the bank and wait for more sales (hopefull) to have enough to transfer.Had a bit of a worrying phone call about the little one this afternoon. As I expected the frusemide is not doing her kidneys any good so the vet wants an appointment next week for blood tests. It is all a balancing act. The frusemide will reduce fluid retention to help her cough but this damages her kidneys. It could be her heart is enlarging and is causing the cough but hopefully we will know more next week.Tomorrow is shopping , posting the ebay sale, going to the tip with the first load and a trip to the garden centre for fish food and all that is enough for me.I did warn you we lead a boring life. Have a quiet evening.2
