Morning all
Friday didn't go as planned. The tiler decided the plaster wasn't smooth enough to take the tiles so he skimmed where he needed to. This meant he has worked all weekend doing the actual tiling. Bless him for doing that but it has meant we haven't had a break from the work being done. Hopefully the tiling will be done today leaving grouting for the morning. e star
I spent a good while cleaning room thoroughly the top of the fitted wardrobes yesterday. Something that only happens occasionally. There is so much dust in the house I will have to clean every room thoroughly. As the tiler is cutting the tiles in the garden he isn't creating too much dust so have started in the bedroom. I doubt I will finish today if
Have sorted some stuff for the charity shop which I can take tomorrow
The bill for the electric stuff has been paid. Despite him being here longer than they said the only addition to the bill was new earth cable to the fuse box.
That is the latest. Have a good day.

I just my oven gloves as the detachable handle never felt secure to be lifting a grill pan out!

Evening all
The kitchen is now operational but I still have no flooring and the kitchen company hasnt replied to my email. If need be we can call in as they are a local company. We are very pleased with it so far. Everything is away although I might change things around as I use it and come across things that might work better.
The bedroom is now clean but I have no doubt there is still going to be dust around that will settle. The rest of the house is covered in dust so that is a task to start tomorrow. Hopefully by the end of the week the house will look better. The builder, who didnt turn up last week, is starting work on Thursday but that work is all outdoors so wont affect us much except for coffee/tea making. Mr LH will be in charge of keeping an eye on what they are doing.
I was in the garden this morning and noticed a lot of my shrubs had turned grey. Then I realised it was dust from the tiles being cut outside. Thank goodness it could all be done in the garden.
Some shopping this morning and tomorrow I need to post the old router back to our internet provider. I will also look for some of the odd bits I want for the kitchen. There are 3 boxes of tiles that can be returned to the shop with us keeping an open one which is almost full in case of needing them.
When the kitchen floor is done I will clean the caravan where I have been cooking etc but it can wait for a bit until other stuff is done.
I am now going to relax as it has been a busy day. Have a good evening.

Good news on the kitchen apart from the flooring.

Hello all
The kitchen is done. The cupboards are sorted and all the appliances are back and working. The washing mountain is being worked through.
A start has been made on the mountain of dust and the house is looking almost normal.
The repointing of the garage is underway with all the old mortar having been removed. Lots more dust created covering everything in the garden adding to the dust on the plants from the tiler cutting tiles outside. The car and my scooter in the garage also had a coating of dust which has been washed off. Hopefully there won't be too much created in the mortar replacement.
The garden is looking very sad as I haven't been able to get out there so that is the next thing to tackle. The weeds are flourishing but several shrubs are going to be lost I think. While it is sad it's not necessarily a bad thing as I have too many for the available space after getting the caravan positioned.
This morning has been spent generally tidying and cleaning the caravan from where I was cooking out there.
A roast dinner this evening which will be the first for almost a month.
Off to clear some more dust after a cup of tea.
Have a good day.
