The show was good I really enjoyed it but I have to say it wasnt the best production of Joseph that I have seen but that could just be a matter of taste. The bus trip home was horrible and I ended up feeling quite ill however a fish and chip supper fixed it. I think it was partly dehydration as they wont let you take your own food and drink and I am too mean to pay theatre prices.

Parcel posted this morning and dog food that I forgot on Tuesday bought. My only other spend today was a theatre programme and the fish and chips which was about £10. We shared a portion and Mr LH has a sausage so not too much spent.

    A quiet night now.

Interesting re the show. I haven't got my act together to book it.

I don't know where you are (and I appreciate you want to keep your anonymity) but where I am all the theatres do jugs of water in the bar - all year round - it was essential when I went in July.  Maybe make a suggestion 🤔

i attended the show in Bristol. Its  a big enough area not to give much away. It is well worth seeing especially if you have never seen it. It is a happy show and I always come out smiling. Its was simply that some of the arrangements were not to my taste. They have been brought up to date and I suspect I havent been.
I am now looking for my next theatre trip. I am debating beauty and the beast but it is not far away and I am not sure I should spend the money so soon. I will have to see. It ddoesnt end until November so I have time.

Glad you enjoyed the show.  Shame they don't allow water.

We always take our own drinks to our local theatre, as do lots of others. I can understand them not wanting you to take alcohol but it’s not on to deny you taking your own water in. We went to a sausage and cider festival a couple of years ago and they tried to take our bottles of water from us. I refused point blank.

Its because they want you to buy bottles of water at the theatre. Firstly I refuse to pay their prices and secondly I dont see why I should buy  water in a plastic bottle which will be thrown away. It was my fault for not spotting the jugs but they were not obvious. The small theatre in my town has no problem with anything you take but the Bristol one is part of an international group.

Evening all. A lazy morning recovering from yesterday and helped Mr LH with the latest dismantling of the trailer tent. We also went for the planned trip to the tip and collected Mr Hs tablets. We also called into the garage where the front end of the car is having a respray next week. That will definitely be an expensive week.
We have jusrt taken the dogs out for a few minutes and the little one suddenly took off towards the field over the road. For a 15 (almost16) year old dog she can run pretty fast when it suits her. I nearly gave myslf a heart attack chasing her and then to add insult to injury she ran home when I reached her.

No money spent today but I will have to go to the pharmacy tomorrow to collect a prescription. That should finish me for the morning.

Well I didnt get to the pharmacy. Why? Coz I completely forgot but the script wasnt for anything urgent. I did however have a productive day. The garden watered with the last of the water in the fishes temporary home from when we cleaned the pond out. their home was then put away in the garage and I got out the circular saw for the next stage of the dismantling.  The strawberry babies were separated from the mother plant and put in the greenhouse. The huge hydrangea that takes over the path by the front door cut back, the lawn mowed and I vacuumed out the car as the bits from the trailer tent left rather a mess in there. Mr LH has done the next stage of preparations for possible power cuts. We now have light for the kitchen and a TV in the lounge. We already have temporary lights we can put in there. I am not sure what else he has planned. he has also removed the stripes down the side of the car so the garage have a paint line for the respray ( the bottom half is a different colour).

By the time I had finished my breathing was so bad I sounded like a steam frain and am now absolutely shattered and my legs feel somewhat wobbly. I wasnt the only one with wobbly legs today as Mr H collapsed on his walk. It took him a couple of minutes to gtet up but then trotted off to smell something quite happily. It is horrible to watch but after he gets up he seems to forget and carry on as normal.

Still no money spent other than dd's. Cashed out £5 which will go into paypal for our charity donation this month. This does gradually build up and I then send any surplus to the loan.

Frugal wins for the day - gravy made with veg water, lights not turned on until absolutly needed. A blouse washed in cold water, it was only worn for the theatre but I want it for my hospital appointment on Monday so just a rinse really, breakfast dishes washed in cold water as they werent greasy and lunch ones left for this evening after dinner. All just little things but hopefully they will help.

Mr LH is watching rubbish on TV so I feel my book calling.
