We share a teabag here too.  I have very weak tea so I go first and then OH uses it and lets it brew.  As you say, small savings and reducing waste.

Missing parcels are the worst.  I hope you get your refund.

A busy day yesterday. I went round some of the houses on the jumble trail. I bought a book for 30p and a blood pressure monitor for £2 which assuming it works will be a bargain. I havent tried it yet but as my GP always insists he/she want a reading it will save a long walk to the surgery. I was also a little worried as when I went to the hospital for the scan on my head it was a little high which it never is.

Usual dog walks etc which have been massively shortened because of Mr H's mobility problems. After the walks we started  dismantling the trailer tent. It had things in it that we thought were in the attic including our second camping chair which we could have done with several times over the years. The car is now full of stuff to go to the tip tomorrow. It gets too busy over the bank holiday so will be easier as a Tuesday job.

When that was done it was time to start the roast pork dinner and then a quiet evening as I had done more than enough.

I am going to re write part of the attendance allowance form as it is rather rambling at present and then it will be ready to post tomorrow.

I am not sure what else is going to be done yet, I will see what I can manage.

Definately not a no spend day. Shopping for the week done, 2 parcels posted, The latest vet bill paid - insurance plus 3 months tick and flea treatment plus spare torch batterries and some gas pipe to make it easier if we have to bring the cooker in from the van during power cuts. Alot spent on food but have also done some for next week when the car is in for a partial respray. I have also posted the application for atendance allowance. Now all I can do is wait and hope. Having a bit of extra money would cerainly make my life easier.

We have also taken the first load of the trailer tent to the tip. We will try and do some more tomorrow depending on the weather.

Tomorrow morning I am hoping to do a bit in the garden before Mr LH gets up.

A good start to the day £30.00 sent to the loan account. We are still on track to finish by the end of the year but at the very least the final payment will not be as much. I am still hoping we can knock another month off in extra payments.

Going to look at my lavender which is taking over and Mr LH is complaining.

Good luck with the application.  Well done on the loan overpayments too :)

It'll be lovely to see the end of that loan, @ladyholly. No feeling like that final payment.

I cant wait. It was essential that we replaced the conservatory and I knew it would leave us tight but with rising prices and the dogs ill health it has made it even worse. Mr H has 8 tablets a day and the little one 3 plus regular consultations.. Although they are insured we do have to pay some due to their ages.

On a happier note no money spent today and I have had ampther small sale so P.O trip in the morning and I am going to see Joseph and the amazing tecniclour dreamcoat in the afternoon.

I have severly cut back the lavender and taken some cuttings. I know itis the wrong time of year but it is fairly mild here so hopefully they will survive. I did the same with the sage so that bit of the garden looks a bit better.

We also continued with the trailer tent dismantling and loaded the car for another trip to the tip on Friday. Hopefully MrLH will do aa bit more tomeorrow but we are getting to the more difficult bits now so it will take time.

Right off to watch repair shop. Have a good evening.
