Upcoming rant - I wish the council would chop hedges back to boundary when they go round cutting grass verges.  Its ridiculous people allow (or don't deal with) hedges and they can come out more than half the pavement width.  That plus the folk who don't take in their buckets and you could barely squeeze past where I used to live

    Rant over too   😀

We have a tree on the edge of the path outside next door that has brranvches so low that even on calm and dry days you have to duck under it. On windy days you get beaten by it and in the wet you get an extra shower. I have asked the coucil to do something about it but it has fallen on deaf ears.

    Evening all

Another annoying day with the pavement and road works. They have now closed the path at the end of the road so I have to go to the other end of the road and either walk or take the scooter on the road as there is no proper path. I had to get the bus this morning due to rain to get to a cash machine as I forgot to get cash for my sil birthday tomorrow to be told that they would not be using the usual route as the road works are taking up so much space they cant turn on the corner coming back. This would not have been too bad but they have closed the next bus stop due to the traffic lights for the works. That is 3 bus stops not able to be used and the next one is, even for someone fit and healthy about a 15 minute walk. For many of the elderly and disabled people round here this means they are trapped with no accessible public transport until it is finished and we are already on week 3 of the work with no sign of things being finished. Can you tell ,I along with a lot of other people on our estate, are fed up as this is about the 4th or 5th time some of the pavements have been dug up in the last couple of years.

I did manage to teke Bear out for his walk with not to much of a diversion today as I had carefully planned where we were going. He was pretty good while we were out. He is always good at home except for his escapes.

A friend called for coffee so that was nice.

Out to my dd and sil tomorrow morning to deliver card etc and good wishes for sils 50th.

    Have a good evening.

    Evening all.

    Nothing much to say.

Visited dd and sil this morning. They are having a family barbeque on Sunday but we werent invited. I am not keen on them but it would have been nice to be invited. We are never included with things they do because Mr LH wont attend so I get left out as well. Feeliing a bit upset and down about it especially as it would have been nice to see my dgds but it is what it is.

Mr LH didnt go to bed until 5am this morning so I left him in bed and took Bear out on my own. He did pretty well. Mr LH appeared about 2pm just after we got back.

Bank accounts checked and money moved about as needed.

Nothing on the house and there is no news that my buyers have received any interst in their house. It is all a bit depressing and I am feeling unsettled about everything I think. I would love to get away for the day amd have been looking at coach trips as they wouldnt involve too much walking if I could find the right one. I havent yet.
Garden is doing ok but I still need to do stuff out there. I have picked my first strawberries.

    Have a good evening.

I can empathise with the not being invited to things because of Mr SA 😞 Before his illness he wouldn’t go to anything so it meant I couldn’t go and people stopped asking in the end. I know how you feel on this front and it is so blooming annoying.

Sorry to hear there isn’t any good news on the house front. Hopefully something will happen soon.

A day trip on a coach is a great idea for a day away from it all just for you. I hope you can find something suitable as I think you need a break.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Sending good vibes in your direction. Things will hopefully look brighter tomorrow or at least very soon. On the bright side, not being invited has saved you the faff of going and of having to take a bottle or meal contribution and of having to spend time with people you're not keen on. So while still an insult, you have definitely come out of it a winner.
Get yourself a nice drink and bit of grub to enjoy on Sunday, whilst you peruse your coach trip options or read a good book or watch a bit of telly 🥂

Atreeing with the above but of course there's nothing to stop you saying your daughter that you'd like to attend the occasional future thing?  I'm sure they don't ask because its become the norm but Mr lh goes off to his festivals, you go off shopping,  its ok for you both to do separate things then you'll have interesting things to tell him about when you get back home?

I know the feeling. My two sisters get together all of the time for dinners out and have even gone on trips together to Hawaii for several years without me. They know I can't afford the trip for one thing and they don't want to invite my roommate for another and she thinks she should go along when we eat out. So I just end up out of the loop. They then talk about things happening in the family and no one has bothered to tell me. It is very frustrating.
