Evening allQA bit more activity today but not too much as the warmer weather is getting to me and even walking to the kitchen leaves me stuggling to breathe. Some listing done.Spent a bit of time in the garden planting some bedding plants I bought yesterday while my neighbour was in cutting back one of her her shrubs which tops the fence. She is quite fussy and likes to keep it well trimmed. Bear had to be shut in the house as she isnt as used to making sure the gate is shut as we are and I didnt want to have to chase him. I have also cut a lavender plant down so I can hopefully dig it up. It had become very woody on the bottom half so looked horrible. I bought a new one yesterday and will try to look after this one a bit better.Garden watered and I have noticed I have a couple of bby tomatoes, some ripe strawberries which I will pick in a minute and possibly the start of some courgettes. The apple tree has lotsof tiny apples and I am hoping the birds dont get to them as they did last year. Bear does try to keep the garden bird free. We mainly have pigeons, seagulls, crows and magpies here so are all big enough to try for my apples. The suite covers have been washed and dried and yesterdays washing put away.Mr LH has phoned and seems happier today except there was a blacksmithing demo and giving people a chance to have a go at making an arrow head. Unfortunately Mr LH was the last on the sign up list and just as it was his turn the heavens opened so he didnt get a chance to try his hand.Still had time for some reading and relaxing.Have a good evening.8

Evening allA good start to the day when I had a sale. Did a couple of listings.Time spent in th garden but it got a bit too warm for me but I have tidied up the bottom bit.Arranged for my gardener to cut back some of the shrubs in the front of the house when he cuts my grass. They are right against the house and grow so they are obscuring the window. They have been here since we moved and although not my choice are quite attractive.Hoovered and dusted upstairs. It looks much better.Mr Lh rang at lunchtime to ask me to book him another festival at the end of August. Another 5 days of peace coming.A relaxing afternoon with rubbish TV and then enjoyed a piece of steak with trimmings for my dinner.Have a good evening.5

Happy June.Yes I know its the 2nd but I didnt get on here yesterday evening because I was very tired and couldnt be bothered to move from the sofa.Mr Lh is home and when we went out to get the remaining food from the car he managed to let Bear out AGAIN!!He then tried to blame me for leaving the doors open but I pointed out he followed me out. He did admit the open doors were his fault. Yet again I grabbed the keys for the garage and scooter and raced after him. He went a different way to usual but a kind dog owner caught him for me and I shouted to ask if she could grab his collar. Once again he looked very pleased with himself at getting a nice run.My activities were a load of washing, put the conservatory suite covers back on, hoovered downstairs, a general tidy of stuff he had left around. He will now complain he cant find things. Oh well he should have put them away in the first place. No money spent except Myr LH buying a festival hoody but he bought that out of his personal money which surprised me as he frequently puts things on his card when he is away.I am now going to wrap the3 things that sold over the weekend ready to go to the PO. They should all be fairly easy to wrap thank goodness.Have a good day.7

Evening AllJust a quick one as I havent got much to say.PO trip done and dusted also called to sm to get Mr LHs cigarettes and some milk.A rather disasterous trip to the secure field with Bear. He had a great time but unfortunetely when he ran for the ball he ran stright into Mr LHs knee. This has happened to me with one of our other dogs so I know how painful it is but Mr LH has no kneecap after a car accident many years ago. He is still limping badly and taking strong painkillers. Its a good job our car is an automatic as I dont think he would have been able to drive home.I have made a very minor start on putting the stuff from Mr LHs weekend away but its to hot for me to do much.Have a good evening2

Ouch to MrLH's knee.2

Evening allMr LHs knee is improving very slowly. He is using my walking stick when out with Bear but he cant manage a full walk which means I am doing all of them again. I am worried for the rest of the week as it is supposed to rain much of the time and using the scooter in the rain is not a good idea depending on how heavy it is.Today has been one of those days. I got up early as I needed to catch the 8.10 bus to get to my appointment to collect my new glasses. The bus didnt arrive so rang a taxi and he eventually turned up full of apologies that traffice was horrendous with long queues everywhere. He did find a quieter route and managed to get me to the optician just before 9am. When I tried the door not only was it not open there was a note on the door saying they wouldnt be opening until 9.20 for staff training. I had asked for an early appontment and they said 9am so I was not best pleased to say the least. Fortunately their trainer turned up while I was standing and muttering rude words and when they opened the door to him I pointed out they had made the appointment yesterday and I couldnt stand around for 20 minutes while they did their training. Anyway the assistant sorted me out and I apologised for being ratty even though I still think I was in the right to be annoyed. When I had finished at the optician I braved the walk to Mr t and did the shopping for the week as I didnt really want to pester Mr LH to drive even with an automatic gearbox. Shattered on return home but the good thing was the taxi arrived very quickly so I didnt have to stand and wait for long. No seats anywhere to help people due to the local druggies using them. When I went to get the scooter from the garage and take it to the front of the house to walk bear I found I coulnt get there as they were digging up the pavement right on the corner and up the path which I could have used to get round the square. No roads at the front of the house. They did move the barriers so I could squeeze round but there was no way I could get through with Bear so had a very long convoluted diversion due to lots of bits of pavements being closed in what seemed to be every direction I needed to go to get to the field where we walk him. When we came back I didnt realise that the road where I have to turn had closed the pavements both ways and filled the grass verge with equipment. At this point I lost it and went on the road with Bear on the pavement until I could get to the path to the back of the house. I am trying to work out a decent route to take him tomorrow as I have no doubt the situation will be even worse as they make progress down the road and along the pavements as they are digging them up but not filling in behind themselves so the inaccessible bit are getting longer. . Whoever decided the work schedule did not take the needs of disabled people or parents with a pushchair and a young child or two into account at all. The workmen are doing their best to help but they have to do what they are told. The other problem is that people let their hedges overgrow the pavements so they become too narrow for me and Bear along the alternative routes. I am not looking forward to tomorrow.Thats enough moaning from me so I will just say have a good evening.2
