    1. Appeal the Blue Badge - several people on MSE have and have been successful.
    2. Let Sainsbury know about your problems you had with the shop. Headquarters only finds out if people let them know. They may losing customers and not know why. It is actually a service to them to let them know you are having difficulties there. You also might mention the sunflower lanyard as that would be a good thing for them to post a message out to the branches to let them know what it means.

Sorry about the blue badge, sounds like it might be worth a shot appealing.

Hope the viewing went well for the family.

    Evening all

Up early to go shopping and get home before it was time to wake Mr LH. Halfway there I got a phone call cancelling the appointment for the garage door as the engineer is ill. The woman on the phone said would phone later with a revised date but I made her sort it there and then as I have experience of companies not ringing back. Anyway they are coming next Monday so we will see. I have to say I am not impressed with the way they work as they want payment 24 hours before they come and if you pay by bank transfer you dont even get a receipt or an acknowledgement of payment. I am also somewhat annoyed that we have to wait a  week for them to come. I just hope they can make it then.

When I got home instead of waking Mr LH I spent some time in the garden doing bits and pieces.

I dont think its worth appealing the blue badge decision because looking at what they have said I have to have a recognised condition. Unfortunately I dont have that. Just being so breathless my chest hurts and even walking to the kitchen causes me to pant like a steam engine isnt sufficient. If the doctors would actually listen I might have a chance but of course being over 70 they are not really interested.

On the bright side I can walk sufficiently to walk Bear in the morning and evening even if people give me funny looks when I pass them panting like I have run a marathon. Poor Bear finds it a bit frustrating as i am very slow and he isnt/ hence the pulling.

    Bank accounts checked.

    Gas and electric meters read.

Not a no spend day due the shopping and I will have to go again leter in the week to finish off.

Now going to carry on with my book. Have a good evening.

What poor form from everyone but you lately!

Of course if it's too much of a big job at the moment then that's entirely your call to make, but could you change GP practices, or ask to see another GP at your practice, or go in to see your GP with a list of what you tell us plus I expect extra of what you struggle with, and refuse to leave until you're taken seriously? It's not right that you're suffering and being overlooked x

Also do ask the garage door people to email or post you an invoice, that's standard and you're not being fussy asking for a record of your own money being given to them. Good on you for making them rebook then and there

I have seen several of the practice doctors and tried giving them a list of symptoms but they will only deal with one at a time which is stupid as I believe several of them are connected. As many older people find they are just not interested unless it is something simple and easily diagnosed. The best doctor I ever had was an American associate dr.who was fully qualified but couldnt write prescriptions in the UK so just got other doctors to sign them She really listened to whay she was told. With regard to changing practice that is also not very easy here for older people plus I cant think of a practice that has a decent reputation. I have dealt with several of them in the past as a carer and in general I was not impressed.

I do know that getting a blue badge in this area is almost impossible. As one of the gps told me they had a man with one leg turned down for one.

I did email the garage door company and they have sent proof of payment now even if they called it a recipe. I am wondering where they found the person dealing with their payments as they cant spell for toffee.  I accept people make mistakes (especially me) but I am not being paid to reply to customers. The 2 outstanding ones are recipe instead of receipt and refarence instead of reference. there were a couple of others but I dont remeber what they were.

Can you do an online consult?  You can then put in the form all the symptoms together and ask them to look at the lot. I find it much better than just requesting an appointment over the phone, as they can read through the consult form in advance, and you don't have to waste that time in the appointment explaining everything.  They can get on with what needs to be done.   It's ridiculous that they are not being supportive.  My parents are in their 70s and have really thorough GP care.

My gp doesnt do on line consult. I am considering having a private medical when we have some money to pay for it. At least then I will have more than the usual 10mins to explain everything clearly.

    Evening all

had to brave the drizzle this morning to get the remains of the shopping.

Out to the secure field with Bear who was a good boy.

Took the rest of the rubbish from the garage to the tip. Thank goodness the men there are so helpful as we seemed to have a lot of stuff that we werent sure where it should go. We also needed to fill the car with diesel so certainly not a cheap day.

I have received the details of my buyers house. They have certainly put it at a good price so i hope thay can sell quickly.

Bank accounts checked and a shopping list started for next week because Mr LH is away from Wednesday to Sunday for a festival. If I forget anything I will be in trouble.

Plants that needed watering have been.

I have decided not to appeal the blue badge decision but will reapply in 6 months time when I have time to pester the gp. I think thee resson they dont take my breathing seriosly is because I am overweight and they simply put it down to that. It may be but I dont think so. I will do my very best to lose some before the new application.

    Have a good evening

I thought of you today as I’m trying to get Mr SA to clear out some drawers in the shed that have collapsed due to the weight of junk in them. Like pulling teeth isn’t it 😞

Have you had a blood test recently? My red blood cell count went way down and it caused me to be very breathless and tired. Had to have three pints of blood and an endoscopy to correct a bleeding ulcer. My doctor originally said it was because I was overweight and not exercising. Ugh to some doctors.
