It's definitely not cutting off your nose to spite your face if people take the p*ss and you go elsewhere. I'm sorry you're being treated with disrespect and good for you for being ready to tell them to stick it3

Evening allLots of emails from the estate agent today but no further forward. I get the feeling that the solicitor is telling porkies but I cant prove it. Only two days unti we know whether the sale will go ahead or not.A busy time first thing of to the s, to get some shopping which took about and hour dumoed the shopping in the garage and off to the PO in the opposite direction with a parcel. For some reason it took the man in the PO ages to get it entered into the computer. Eventually how about about three quarters of an hour later.Mr LH was up when I got home and was greeted with "Bear woke me up". I was really bothered by that I dont think. Then he started worrying about next doors fish. She is away and has left the fish with no bubbler to provide oxygen so we have changed the water to help them. Having texted her she thinks they would be ok but they were in distress so hopefully they will be ok until she gets home on Friday.I will close now as we have just been told a good firends dil died on Monday leaving her husband and2 young children and he will be here very shortly. I think he just needs some time away. We knew it was going to happen but I didnt expect it so soon. Its all very sad.I hope you all have good evening.2

What a dire day. I'm sorry for your friend's loss and glad he has such a good and capable friend as you to turn to. Hope tomorrow is a much better day (and that the fish are okay!)2

Evening allThe house saga continues. The latest is they are they are worrying about he development land.. They would probably have made an offer if that sale had fallen through. I must admit I hadn't told them the sale was complete but then thay had never queried it so I think thats the latest excuse. The clock continues to tick and tomorrow unless I receive some good positive news it will run down.Nothing much else to report except my NHS pension has gone down for the rest of the year by £1.95 -m. This is because I am bnow paying more tax after the state pension rise last month. You cant win.MHS pension in my account yesterday and some of it was promptly moved into various pots. I still seem to be spending a lot on stuff to do with bil's house. council tax will be the next thing but hopefully the solicitor will take care of that for the time being.Mr LH had a complete meltdown today as a car he had been looking at has been sold (dont ask). Then nothing re the house and finally the news was full of the election of the new pope instead of reporting on the UK/US tariff and the interst rate cut, VE day activities etc. It wasnt that he objected to the reporting but the fact there was nothing to report and that they were just filling time instead of going to other topics until there was some actual information. He has calmed down now I think watching very old top gear. It always exciting in my house.4

Oh my days Mr SA is also watching a very old Top Gear. They are truly brothers from another mother 😬
So sorry to hear about your friend’s loss.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Who knows if anything that comes from them is the truth. I know pulling out tomorrow will bring its own worries but do make sure to remember to thoroughly enjoy telling the estate agent to stuff it (in a dignified manner of course)
Keep on ensuring you have records of costs to you to claim from estate2 -
My DH was complaining that there was no 'other' news coverage as well
I can't see that it was your responsibility to inform them about the land, surely that is for their solicitor to be monitoring as part of the due diligence. I hope whatever happens today you get a quick resolution."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
