I wish but I would be depriving a well respected charity who provide care for terminally ill people.1

Damn consciences, making us be decent people who are not laying around on a tropical island 😁
Though thank you so much for highlighting to many of us that if you want to give to charity, leave instructions to loved ones rather than write it in wills. It's been an eye-opener learning how so-called charitable institutions act with such ruthlessness and meanness towards grieving people who are put in horrible difficult positions.4 -

Great news about the land completion, and hopefully you get a good response to your deadline!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
Evening allI seem to have stirred things a bit. We are expecting the purchaser to drop out of the sale due to their circumsatnces I cant go into on a public forum but we do know the family that really wanted the house are still interested and would have been our preferred purchasers. The only reason we went with who we did was it should have been a fast cash sale. To be fair to them we had to hold it up for some time due to the water main and alternative access problem. However we are content that either they will be able to complete or they wont and its not long until May 9th. Watch this space. With regard to the charities they have a legal obligation to maximise their money and I havent had any hassles with them although I suspect the solicitor has. I just have to be careful not to do anything that will cause them a reduction in what they receive. I am also very grateful for the amazing care that the main one gave to my sister before she died and also to my bil afterwards. The charities that his money will go to are all ones that do good work with animals that was a passion of my bil. I intend to leave a letter with my will asking her to make donations to those charities I wish to leave money to. Obviously that will be up to her to carry out my wishes but I want to make things as simple as possible for her and I trust her to do that. She has been told that I will come back and haunt her if she doesnt.3

Sorry all I pressed the wrong button. Mr LH seems a bit happier knowing that although the sale will likely fall apart and we have a back up plan. The only money spent today has been on postage for my sale.Lots of silly bits and pieces and some more listing done. I have some larger items to list but I am waiting for some boxes to be delivered as they wont go in the size I usually use. I think they are due tomorrow or Friday.Gosh its been hot today but the only times I have been out is with Bear and then I was on the scooter so get a little bit of breeze and his walk was very short a a black dog in the heat is not a good combination. The PO trip was at 9am so it wasnt too hot then.

Evening allAnother very hot day and not feeling great because of it. It is due to start cooling down tomorrow.Out for a quick trip to the sm this morning but met an aqaintance that can talk for England. Half an hour later I got away. He is a single man and I suspect is rather lonely so try to be patient.Farm shop trip thi afternoon and saw som really nice looking lamb chops which is something I dont really but because of the price but thought we could have a treat. They were not as nice as they looked so rather disappointed.Apparently I misunderstood the estate agent ysterday when he said the buyers solicitor hadnt got the email from mine. I didnt and thats exactly what he said but its not worth making a fuss over so just smiling politely.More listing done and going to do another couple of items in a few minutes.

Evening allThe land sale is completed and I understand the money is in my solicitors client account Hooray! The estate agent hasnt spoken to the buyers solicitor as he has been in meetings all day and only got back to his office at about 4.30pm. What chance of getting hold of a solicitor at that time on a Friday? As he hasnt even had the courtesy to let me know he couldnt get hold of him (or couldnt be bothered to try) I have sent a very strongly worded email reminding them that I would pull from the deal next Friday. I also quoted to him from his website a bit about how important their clients are to them. I dont often challenge people in this way but I am angry at the fact he consistently fails to get back to me unless I nudge him.Now on to other stuff. I have renewed a bank account that was coming to the end and got a higher interest rate.Spent about two hours listing more stuff. It wont go live until Sunday which is when I like auctions to end. I do have 4 items that have bids on them but three wont end until Wednesady because I forgot to schedule them so they were listed straight away.Bed changed and sheets washed and put away.Bedroom had a quick dust and hoover as far as I couldnt bearing in mind the stock room vibe. Our friend called for coffee and a chat before we took Bear out for a shortened walk. It hasnt been as hot today but still to hot for him to be out for too long. The garden has been watered and all looking ok except the snail have destroyed my baby Dahlia plants.I will have to pop out in the morning fir bread and milk but that shouldnt take too long. It is supposed to be cooler tomeorrow so I might get out in the garden for a bit.Have a good evening.3

Oh wonderful! So happy for you.
Fingers crossed for the rest of it moving swiftly and seamlessly. I have sent a very dirty look out the window to reach the estate agent2
