    Evening all

Why does the estate agent tell me he is going to call at such and such a time and then doesnt. Still it gives me an excuse to flood his in box with emails. The good news is that the buyers have accepted our generous offer to cover the cost of the door and windows damaged in the break in. The bad news is they are saying they dont know if the searches are complete and cant get hold of their solicitor but in the email I had a week ago they are and their solicitor cant get a response from them. Somebody is telling porkys. I am going to forward the email  I had and they can argue with that.

I had a email from the land agent when I nagged him. All is good with the water company and they have a meeting next week to finalise things as the plans have had to be changed slightly due to the water company not knowing exactly where the pipe runs. Completion is due by the end of the month (crossing fingers and toes).

The boiler had its service yesterday and all was fine.

Out last night to the theatre with dd, younger dgd and sil to see Shrek the musical which we all enjoyed.

Out this morning to get the things I couldnt get Tuesday and then a friend dropped in for coffee.

And thats about it. Have a good evening.

Hope that completion happens by the end of the month.  That will be such a relief for you.

The land sale seems to be on track for the end of the month but I have no idea what is happening about the house. I have had no contact from the estate agent  MD today (playing golf?) but the last I heard the supposed buyers couldnt contact their solicitor. Funny that the same excuse was used by their solicitor say he couldnt contact them. I was told they have tried to ring him 3 times. Bearing in mind they are developers so presumably an important client I would have thought he would ring them back promptly. Of course he could be ill or on holiday but I would have thought one of his staff would have told them that. Now we have another weekend of of waiting and I have to insure the house next week so that is more money out that I really dont want to spend. It will be a different insurance company because the one it was with will only provide cover for 12 month as an empty property.

Today has been spent cleaning the fish pond out made more interesting by Bear eascaping when Mr LH didnt shut the conservatory door properly. I saw him go grabbed the garage and scooter keys plus a lead and his ball. As I got to the end of the road I saw him just heading towards the green outside our house. There were two other dogs there and he wanted to play. Their owner didnt look too happy at this and I was madly calling him. He took one look at me and shot off up the path through the estate, Fortunately no roads for quite a distance and just before he reached one I called him and he turned to look at me. I waved his ball at him and miracle he came back to get his ball. I grabbed his collar and attached the lead and we returned home with a very satisfied look on Bears face.

There is still some tidying to finish in the garden but the pond is all done and we are both shattered.

    Have a good evening.

He certainly is always on the look out. Someone in the next road to us has a sign on their gate saying " Plase shut the gate. Dog planning escape". It always makes me chuckle when I see it.

Not a very useful day but have achieved some bits.

One load of washing done on 30 degrees and dried outside.

Some money shuffling which I hadnt done earlier in the week.

I have finished tidying up after the pond cleaning. We have actually saved a bit of money on this clean as the new foam filters were something I rescued from my bil and the anode for the elctronic device that keeps the pond algae and blanketweed free was able to be re-used after being cleaned up on the lathe.

I spent some time packing the job lot I am selling into boxes as it his sold today. There is still a bit to do but that shouldnt take too long.

A last visit to our local PO before they close permanently today. It was a couple of books about games to play with dogs which I am passing on to my dgd for her border collie puppy.

Garden watered using the water that we had used for puth the fish in whiel the pond was cleaned. This didnt actually save money but was good environmentally. I am now going to fill in the form on line to apply for a water meter.

    Have a good evening.
