    Evening all

Many thanks for your pet hair removal suggestions. I will investigate.

2 parcels posted this morning as I had another sale yesterday evening. While there I found out that the PO is closing on the 15th April. I am glad there shouldnt be too many more parcels to send as the other POs are not very convenient.

When I got home Mr LH was up (most unusual) but went back to bed about half an hour later until about 11.45. I spent some time watching the live stream of the lunar eclipse from the Royal Observatory. There were clouds here so wouldnt have seen much and did my exercise routine.

I tried to discuss a water meter with Mr LH who has agreed but when I looked on line there was a warning about there being a possible problem with our heating as we have a combi boiler. I asked Mr LH to look at the warning but he said he couldnt be bothered with it. This is how he is at the moment just incapable of concentrating on things and doing absolutely nothing except walking Bear once a day.

My unexpected tomato plants arrived this lunchtime so as soon as we got back from Bears walk I planted them and have put them in th conservatory. I think they are big enough to cope with the coooler conditions in there. If the weather is Ok tomorrow I might repot some of the ones I have grown from seed and put them to join the others.

Off now to watch some TV before I take Bear out for last walk. Have a good evening.

I hadn't heard of any issues about a combi boiler and water meter.  I guess we'll find out soon!

Its something to do with if your boiler takes water straight from the mains or if you have a collector tank which we dont. They suggest getting a gas engineer/ plumber to give advice but if/ when we get my inheritance we will be redoing the bathroom and kitchen or when the boiler is serviced so will suck up the stupid amount they are charging us for now.I am completely non technical with plumbing and leave all that to Mr LH usually..

This was on the Bristol water website. We are unlucky that we have two separate compnies for water and sewage although the bill comes from one. I suspect they are just covering their back but dont want any hassle with the heating.

    Evening all

Absolutely nothing to report as I have spent the day in front of the TV and reading my book other than walking Bear, dusting and preparing a roast dinner. All plants in the house have also been watered and exercise done.  I have had a happy Mothers day text from dd but she has been working all day as usual..

    Have a good evening

Ok, I had a look on the Bristol water website and googled my boiler model to see if it has an expansion vessel, and apparently it does, so hopefully we'll be ok!  We don't have a separate tank, apparently it's incorporated within the boiler.  Thank you though, at least we'll be aware if there are any issues.

Thank you. I had assumed it would be an external thing - I probably didnt read it properly as I automatically shut off when things get technical as I do almost everything else in the house so leave such things to him.. I will check the model number on line if I can find it. Then I dont need to bother Mr LH.

Oh it never occured to me that not having a cylinder could be a water meter type problem.  I haven't had one for over 30 years & was told that even with it a shower would not be possible & it would have to be an electrical power shower.  Water pressure here at that time was abyssmal, as over half way up a hill.  That was even before the combi boiler.

    Evening all

A beautiful day today although there was a little bit of frost on the grass this morning.

Usual Monday morning buying cigs for Mr LH and doing a top up shop. Bear is at the seciure field tomorrow again so main shop wont be done until Wednesday. For some reason the foield has no available 1-2pm slots availble for at least a fortnight so we are going at 12 which wont please Mr LH. Oh well, never mind.

Planted some spring onions seeds. I didnt have any luck with them last year so will see what happens. My baby tomatoes are doing really well and have put some of them into big pots. I have too many for us so will give some to a friend when she calls.

Out this afternoon to the garden centre to buy fish food for the pond fish and picked up a tube for the filter while we were there. It is quite a decent size garden centre and the fish place is at the farthest pont from the door and because of the way it is laid out you have to go through every department. I would like to have looked at the plants but by the time we got to the fish place I was too ttired to go round them so just came home/

2 out of 3 dog walks done. The last one is at about 9pm.

Recycling and bins out. Our council is starting to collect soft plastic later this year. The first council to collect soft plastic apparently.

Still nothing on the land or house sales. I wish someone would do or say something.

    Have a lovely evening.

My council has been collecting soft plastics for about 2 years. Horrifying how quickly the bin fills up.

I knew there would be a council doing it somewhere. Our council tells fibs - what a surprise.
