Evening allAnother frosty morning today but at least the sun was shining and has been all day.A sitting exercise routine this morning. I just hop all this helps my lack of flexibilty because at the moment thingsjust hurt. I have weighed myself this morning and that was depressing. I am just a bit worried as this time last year year I was doing quite well and then my bil died and everything went to pot and has never recovered. Now we are supposedly getting near to things being sorted and I am worried it will all go pear shaped again.I have emailed the conveyancing solicitor and asked if there is any progress on the house sale and have had one from the solicitor dealing with the land sale reminding me that council tax on bils house will become payable soon. It will be £265 pm so I hope the house sells before that is payable.Main shop done and within budget so that is good. Money moved to housekeeping pot and £3.38 to the Christmas pot.Bear was very badly behaved on his walk today but we have noticed he often is after a trip to the secure field. I am hoping he is better when we go out later.I wll finish here so I can watch sort your life out. Have a good evening.5

Well done on the exercises. I hope all the stress with the house ends soon so you can relax a bit more.
We're 3 weekly - you do get used to it. We use the neighbours as a reminder, but generally, if you tend to produce similar amounts of rubbish each collection you can tell when it's due."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Evening allWalking exercise done first thing and usual kitchen clearing dishwasher emptying etc.Out first thing - well 8.50am to go to the PO to post the last parcel from the weekend. Hurray I dint think it was going to be paid for but it was. I also got some new sticky tape for parcels and some courgette seeds. I also found some oasis for my Christmas decotions. I havent been able to do any for a couple of years as I couldnt get any locally and by the time I thought about it it was getting to late to order on line. Anyway I was just leaving the shop after getting my seeds and there it was on the shelf so went back in and queued again to pay for it. Oh yes I also bought a Jo Nesbo book at the charity shop from my personal spends.I am hoping I might be a bit more successful with the garden this year as due to circumstances it all went pear shaped last spring. My tomatoes seem to be doing well on the bedroom window cill. There is even a srawberry seed poking its head up.Mr LH is enjoying the cameras at my bil as he can watch what is going on in the garden. No two legged visitors thank goodness but he has seen a rat (oh joy), a fox and a deer. The fence needs serious repairs but that is not going to happen and the deer are helping to keep the greenery in check.Bank account checked but as I paid cash for everything nothing had changed since last night. No reply from the solicitor but I live in hope and it may be he will have to wait as I also asked him to see if the house buyers want the windows repaired. If they are planning on demolishing the house there doesnt seem much point but it is up to them. I would obviously rather not have the hassle and the £380 bill but it is up to them. I would rather that if they want them replaced they do it and send me the bill as it might be cheaper with them being developers.Bear has hurt Mr LHs arm again where he has yanked him so I walked him on my own. Funny I walk Bear twice a day and although he pulls like a tractor at time he has never hurt hurt me.I need to go to the sm in the next day or two to get milk but am hopeful of a morning at home tomorrow so I can get some other things done.Have a good evening.3

Wildlife watching through the cameras sounds lovely (maybe not so much the rat!).
Well done on the walking."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Evening all.An interesting morning in that I had a text from the environment agency tell me we are at risk of flooding but it wasnt a flood warning. The odd thing is according to their own website we are at very low risk of flooding so now I am slightly confused. We have never been flooded or got anywhere near it. We dont even get puddles on the pavement at the front or back of the house.I have at last got the registration document (V5C) for the scooter with my registration number on it. I dont have to have number plates but it does have to be registered. Its only taken them 3 months.3 loads of washing done including my winter coat. I have been waiting for a warm day to do it and it was dry by lunchtime.Lounge dusted and hoovered. Other housework things completed.I have had a reply from the solicitor and he is going to chase the purchasers solicitor. I am hoping the delay is because they are waiting for the dig results as I know they would like to buy my bit of land but I dont know how they would play with the other sellers. We will see. I seem to have spent the last 11months waiting for other people to do things.Sitting exercise done. Only 15 minutes but I have decided the walking one is a bit hard on my knees and hips but hoping that will change as it only been 4 days.Have a good evening and weekend2

Evening allOut to buy milk this morning. Just milk? Not a chance but what I bought we needed either this week or next.Had a long phone call with dd. She told me that dgd has saved £1000 in the last couple of months which considering she has a minimum wage job is excellent going. I did remind dd she has always been reluctant to spend money and apparently her ex boyfriend was quite money savvy. I think dd was so surprised as she is somewhat scatterbrained or as dd put it a ditsy blonde.Mr LH is getting down again as we have heard nothing re the house from the buyers solicitor so I emailed the estate agent and apprently there is some progress but it is slow going. On the other hand dig is going well and so far the pipe is deep enough (as long as Southern Water dont change the goal post) however they have found the pipe doesnt follow the line S W said it did so they are having to do a survey. I dont know what impact that may have on the developers plans so I am back to waiting. It is so frustrating to be at the mercy of others and only getting second hand information.Bank account checked and a money shuffle done leaving sufficient in the current account to pay the council tax on the 1st April. Water rates dont start until May. Meter readings done so that gone to the utility company. I do wish Mr LH would agree to a smart meter as it would save a lot of hassle.Nothing else for now so have a good evening.3

Evening all.I havent posted over the weekend as there was nothing to write really. I asked Mr LH if his big tool box could go away after being in the conservatory since February. I was told he couldnt think about that now. As he was sitting half watching tv I didnt get that statement and it's still there. I would move it myself but it is very heavy and to get it to the garage means getting it over gravel so not safe for me to do.Credit card has been paid in full.Small amounts shuffled into various pots. Not heard anything about the last bit of the dig yet but they did say it would be Monday or Tuesday. Wouldnt you know it is the one that is on bil's land and will take longer as there are a lot of trees.Mr LH spotted a deer lying in bil's garden just relaxing very near the house. It is such a shame that they are going to lose their habitat with all the building work that will hopefully start soon. One parcel packed and posted today and prescription collected.I have kept up the exercise except today. I did a short yoga one yesterday but eneded up in pain all day so I dont think thats for me at the moment.I have at last emailed the gp about releasing my medical records for my blue badge application. I am not hopeful and they may have lost my application by now but I can always re apply.I canyt thinl of anything else I have done so Have a good evening.5

Evening allI hope you have had a good day.I hoped our sale problems were coming to an end but apparently not. The house purchasers want the windows and door that were damaged in the break in. The windows are no problem as we have already sorted a window company. The door is going to be a problem as it isnt a standard size so we will have to find a carpenter to remove the boarding, measure it, replace the boarding, get it made, remove the boarding, install it and then replace the boarding again for it to have to be removed again before completion. If we lived nearby this wouldnt be a problem but when you are three hours away it becomes more of a problem especially in finding tradesmen. WE have offered a price reduction but I have a feeling they wont want to go with that. In the meantime I will get in touch with the neighbour to see if he knows anyone locally. We can get the door from an on line company but will still need someone to measure and install it.I havent heard anything more from the land agent re the dig so am hoping no news is good news. However I know the results all have to go to Southern water for approval or otherwise. You would think inheriting a house and land would be simple but there just seems to be one thing after another. I am also going to have to find some insurance for the house as the company that is insuring it at present will not insure from next month as they will only insure an empty property for 12 months. I was hoping to avoid this but it appears not.At home I spent some time in the garden doing some weeding and getting containers ready for planting soon. It was overcast but quite warm so a pleasant time.Bear had a lovely time at the secure field and was shattered when he got home so slept all afternoon.I have some admin to do now so have a good evening. The utility bill has arrived and we are now £6 in credit. I did pay the debit amount off last month as I didnt want it to carry on especially with prices going up.5

Evening allOut to finish off shopping first thing. Was very naughty and bought 2 books as well - there has to be some joy in my life at the mnoment. While I was shopping the conveyancing solicitor rang to ask how much of a reduction we were prepared to make so as not to have to repair the doors and windows. Discussed and came up with a figure but said we were prepared to negotiate if needed. Quite honestly with all the hassle I am almost at the stage of giving it to them. Only almost!!On return home I rang the car insurance company and insured the scooter. This is something I should have done before but have only just got around to it. The money is coming out of the car pot but dont tell Mr LH.Nothing else to report. Have a good evening.3
