Great the neighbour can sort the cameras. What an unnecessary horrid palaver this has been.
Do (if appropriate) tell Mr LH that we think he's a brave hero for going down and guarding the fort!
Obviously you're always a hero but extra well done for all the jobs when it would have been quite understandable if you'd taken to your bed and refused to come out.
Might be worth asking if there's some sort of entitlement from estate shares that covers your expenses in sorting this out?

I wondered about that too PIP.   At least you weren't there on your own when some idiot was trying to kick the door in.

Just a quick update. Will post properly later. The estate agent hasn't booked a glazier as I was told. They are trying to get one now but a bit late so can't see it being done today. 
Had to go and buy Mr LH a new duvet as he can't bring his stuff on the train as no bags or case as everything was just chucked in the van. I am actually glad he is coming home by train as he is so tired driving would not be a good idea.
There is a police officer at the house as I write but not sure why. I will no doubt hear soon.

Poor Mr LH must be feeling really stressed right now.  My first thoughts were drug taking stuff found in the house, I do hope not.

Evening all

I have spent a lot of the day on the shone to either the estate agent or Mr Lh who has upset them by having a real go at the poor young man who accompanied the police officer. I think I have managed to calm things down. I dont blame him as he is very stressed and miserable and just wants to come home. I really will be glad to get him back here where I can ensure he eats and he has a decent bed and is warm.

The estate agent has finally sorted a glazier but it will take about two weeks to get the required glass. I just hope we dont get any more late night visitors down there as the boarding up is a very poor job. I havent told Mr :LH it cost £80 as I cant deal with more stress. Fortunately I have paid his out of account he has no access to and all emails regarding  the estate come to my email address not the general one we both use. Hopefully the cameras will be up and running before the weekend assuming the big river company deliver promptly.

I havent done much today due to spending much of it on the phone or writing emails but 2 parcels posted, Mr LH has a nice new 15tog duvet, pillow and clean bedding. I also did enough shopping to keep us going for a couple of days as we wont have the car until goodness knows when.

I did have a nice chat with a friend on the phone. Tomorrow I am planning on defrosting the freezer and doing the little bit of ironing i have. Mr LH wont be home until lunchtime at the earliest as the train journey takes about 3 hours and the car isnt being collected until after 9am. I think he will miss the 9.40 so it will be the 10.40 which gets in at 13.50 all being well. I am praying there will be no delays as he is likely to hit the roof with the frame of mind he is in.

I think Bear is feeling my stress as he was quite stressed on his lunchtime walk hopefully things will be calmer tomorrow.

What a very stressful situation for you both. It will be a good day when that house is finally off your hands. There are far too many low life scumbags around at the moment unfortunately 😡
