Evening all3 loads of washing done, bed changed and the bedroom cleaned. A friend called for coffee and a natter. A much more productive day for me today which is good. No money spent which is even better.
Our lovely neighbour called this afternoon to ask for Mr LHs help. She didnt have a front door key and her gate had jammed up so she was locked out. He managed to unblock her gate so all good. She will now put a front door key on her key ring. Most people round here mainly use their back doors as that takes them to the drive or garage where their car is.A quiet afternoon other than that. We had smoked salmon late afternoon then Mr LH couldnt eat his dinner as he has a cold. I really dont know how he gets colds as the only people he sees are a couple of friends who havent got any sign of a cold and me. we dont even get to chat to other dog owners because of bear.Meals. Lunch - tuna, b&b, mid pm smoked salmon, dinner lamb steak, cabbage, runner beans, butternut squash. Snacks banana, yoghurt, hot X bun - last one tomorrow.Have a good evening.2 -
Well done on a productive and no spend day. Fresh sheets are always so lovely aren't they.
I forgot to put on my diary entry that the mattress had been flipped and the sheets changed. Probably because Mr PIP did most of it but I performed the important role of project manager and pillow-case putter-onner! 😁
Hope Mr LH feels better soon. Is it worth trying him on antihistamines? Lots of people (including me) getting spring hayfever at the moment which can feel a lot like a cold, especially for poor folk who react badly to certain types of blossom or grass pollen in the air.
Also hope your neighbour asking for help was a bit of an ego boost for him, and that he'll feel a bit more confident about going out again when he feels up to it3 -
Glad you had a nice productive day and well done to Mr LH for helping the neighbour.
I'd suggest antihistamines too, it might well be hayfever."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I have suggested antihistamines but he won't take them. He2

Sorry I pressed the wrong button. As I was about to say unless a Dr tells him he won't take tablets and he will only go to the Dr if forced to.3

I was thinking hayfever too. Pity he won't take tablets as they can make such a difference. I think a lot of people are suffering more as people are leaving bits of garden wild or just not being able to mow the lawn yet. One of my neighbours has something in their lawn that no-one else does, I've no idea what it is, but I know my hayfever won't improve until they mow their lawn, which unfortunately rarely seems to make it onto their to-do list.

I must admmit I hadnt thought of hayfever but it is quite likely as he gets it most year and has consistently refused to do anything about it. I am not even going to bother suggesting it as prefers to suffer and moan.A quick trip out this morning to post a parcel and get onions and mushrooms to go with the steak for dinner. Nothing els done except finish my book. I have jst got the next one out. A James Patterson - one of the private series which I reallylike. One of our neighbours called this afternoon to get the little cooker from the van that doesnt work properly so he can have a go at fixing it for us. He is qualified for the job we havent just palmed off the job to a random person. We do have very helpful neighbours round here.Meals lunch - scrambled egg B7B, Dinner steak, tomato, mushrooms, onion peas, peas. Snacks Banana, the last hot cross bun.4

This time of year I always add an antihistamine to Mr SA’s medication pot as he suffers quite badly with hay fever and allergies. He’s the opposite to Mr LH in terms of medication, he’s happy to take a tablet for anything.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

A very Happy Easter to all.
