    Evening all.

A bits and pieces morning. Checked all the plants, did some admin, paid water and council tax. bins brought in from where the dustman had dumped them. Our council is talking about going to 3 weekly non recycling collection which will be annoying as I will never remember which week we are on. This morning the weather was dry and grey but it has now been raining  on and off since about 2pm. Are we ever going to get some dry weather of more that the idd day.

Shopping this afternoon which was the usual boring outing. The sm was very busy but at least most of the tills were open so I didnt have to wait too long to pay. Was shattered on return and went to sleep for an hour when I had put everything away.

While we were out with Bear we met a couple of friends with their dogs and Bear was very good with them. He did go straight to sniff at the cancerous lump one of the dogs has. A clever boy is our Bear. We did say that the owners of the dogs he is reactive to would never believe the way he was around two other dogs. We did a bit of training of going to his bed this morning and had a sniffari.

Weighed myself today but no loss. Not really surprising but neither was there a gain so not all bad.

Meals. Lunch - scrambled egg, b&b. Dinner - some more cold lamb. peas, butternut squash, broccoli. Snacks - banana, yoghurt, grapes.

Re the bin emptying cycle.  Do your LA send reminder emails out.  Mine does, they send it early the day that the bin needs to be out for 7am the next morning.  We have 4 bins, 3 are emptied every 3 weeks in turn & the 4th every fortnight & the 4th is on a different day.  So it is a 6 week cycle.  The emails save worrying about it.

We're 3 weekly, they send us a calendar, but we can also download a calendar to our devices so we can get notifications.

I always just look out for the organised neighbour who puts the bins out first each week :D

You do get used to how much rubbish you normally have so can tell by the fullness of the bin when it's next due.

    Evening all.

Perhaps our council will produce a hard copy calendar if/ when they change the collections or email us. I have my doubts though a their communication is pretty poor unless you owe money.

No money spent and no shopping done

I have cleaned a couple of doors and put my yellow courgettes into bigger pots. Other seedlings have been moved about but the tomatoes are not doing anything so I think I may end up buying some plants. I dont seem to have much luck with growing them from seed.

I have at last made an optician appointment as after the cataract op my reading glasses are definitely not the best. I still have to wait until the 19th as that was the first appointment they could offer.

Out to the theatre to see Oklahoma done by the local amatier operatic society tomorrow so probably wont get on here. It is a 3hour show which means we dont get out until 10.30 and will then have to wait for a taxi as you can never judge how long it will take to get out and they get stroppy if they have to wait and are likely to drive off.

Meals today. Lunch - Tuna, salad, b&b. Dinner Beans on toast. Snacks - yoghurt, banana

    Evening all

Oklahoma was very good and we had a great time. Their next production is Joseph and the amazing technicolour drean coat which is one of my favourites. They are offering 10% off if you book by the 8th so booking done and also booked for Mary Poppins in our big city. My dd now owes me money for the tickets so hopefully I will get that soon. We are seeing Hamilton next month so I will see her then if not before.

My NHS pension arrived in the account today and was pretty fed up to see the amount has gone down due to tax and the personal allowance not going up. . I have not had any notification of a rise this year so hope I do get one as it seems a bit pointless putting the state pension up if I end up losing much of it. Slightly P***** off to say the least.

Parcel posted today for another small sale. Over the weekend I want to sort some stuff which hasnt sold to go to the charity shop. There is nothing wrong with things but the post can make the difference between selling and not on very cheap items.

My apologies for any any misprints tonight but I carelessly caught my little finger on the hot plate of the cooker this evening and I l=keep catching it on the desk. Its not serious just a bit painful.

Veg babies in the greenhouse watered. The ones in the open dont need it as it has rained yet again with no sign of dry days in the forecast for at leat the next couple of weeks. It is very heavy rain at the moment. Poor Bear desperately needs to have a good run in the field but having seen photos from someone it is simply not in a safe condition for me to walk on and he hates walking on the mud as it gets between his toes.

Very tired today and my breathing is dreadful. I was breathless washing up this evenintg which is unusual. Well I think thats enough moans for toaday so
Meals. Lunch - sardines, b&b. Dinner - Pork chops, carrots, peas, broccoli. Snacks Yoghurt, banana, grapes.

    Have a good eveing.

Please check that the DWP have notified the HMRC of your state pension correctly, they have history of getting it wrong.  However any pay received by 5th April should be in the last tax year not the future tax year which starts on the 6th, so that also needs checking.  I made the mistake of thinking my tax affairs should be a doddle once I retired.  I was wrong, they are definitely harder.
