Good evening all.Another largely miserable day. I got very wet when I went out for some milk and fruit this morning. It was dry for Bears lunchtime walk however but still quite chilly. More rain tomorrow. Oh Joy!I think all the wet is affecting my joints as have been in pain and very stiff today. Mr LH said to stay at home for Bears walk but that wont help and II need to keep going. He has arthritis as well so it would be unfair to play on mine. All plants checked and the second lot of tomatoes are definitely beginning to show the heads.I have bought a very small buttons Easter egg for Sunday. Gosh they have shrunk since I last bought one. Good for the waistline (but hardly worth buying for a child). The hot cross buns in the freezer have been very tempting today but all 4 are still there. I might have one tomorrow after I have weighed myself.Meals. lunch - tuna and b&b, dinner- leftover roast chicken, runner beans, sweet potato and sprouts.snacks- yoghurt, banana, grapes.Have a peaceful evening.4

I ordered some of the on offer Easter eggs for the DC and was unimpressed at how small they are now - less than a bar of chocolate. I am sure I read that there are 7 mini eggs in the 'medium' mini egg version. I should have checked the weight.

I haven’t tried them myself, as I don’t like hit cross buns, but apparently the cinnamon and raisin bagel thins are a diet friendly decent substitute. How kind of the neighbour to cut your grass 😀I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I admire your restraint with the hot cross buns. The easter eggs are definitely smaller, and there aren't many mini eggs in the small one."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

I don’t like hot cross buns, so not tempted, but chocolate - that’s another story! Nice to hear you have good neighbours. We are lucky that we have fantastic neighbours. Unfortunately, the two on either side are both widowers, both having lost their wives a few years back, but are in their 80s now so there is never a guarantee that if they were to sell up we would get equally good neighbours. It’s the luck of the draw I suppose. The two ladies across the way are also on their own (85/90) so there is also the possibility of their houses being sold eventually (one lady’s husband is in a care home with dementia). We have a chap who lives on the road who does a roaring trade cutting the lawns!3

Good evening. Its been an interesting day. Bears DNA results have arrived and they have been a huge surprise. First there is not a scrap of Hungarian Mudi in him, I wont go through the whole lot as there are 16 different breeds, many of which I have never heard of. The two main ones are German Hunting Terrier and German Shepherd. Both of which are generally brown but Bear is almost all black. Others are Estrela Mountain dog and specially for dawnybabes I will mention 2% Romanian Mioritic Shepherd. The dog he looks most like from a quick look at the breeds is Croation Shepherd Dog. There are also several Middle Eastern and African breeds and the one that really stunned us Fijian Street dog. We are considering changing his name to a certain well known baked beans manufacturer. I am going to research all the different breeds properly and hopefully they might give us clues to his behaviour although I suspect much of it is his early life not his breeds. The good things is there are no specific health markers so hopefully he will have a healthy life.On to other stuff shopping this afternoon. Mr T are doing carrots and potatos for 15p. Both of which were on my list - there are probably others but I didnt look. I also got 25% of a pair of jeans for Mr LH as some of his have had it. There were other reductions and all in all I "saved" about £14. I use the term saved advisedly because I am never sure about the savings they say I have. This morning weigh showed a 2lb loss which I am pleased about. On the strength of that I have had the first hot cross bun. I will space the other 3 to Maunday Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday - Easter Eve leaving my little egg for Easter day. I am not expecting a weight loss this week but it will make a change to have a few treats.Meals. Lunch - scrambled egg b&b salad, dinner Pork chop, peas, broccoli, carrots, butternut squash. Snacks Yoghurt banana and hot cross bun.Have a fun evening.4
