Today went partly to plan. My prescription was collected with no problem. I did carry on with some cleaning and I am about half way round my small kitchen so still lots to do. I am aching so didnt get a much done as I hoped. I will carry on tomorrow and hopefully get it finished. Then I can start on somewhere else in the house but not sure where yet.I also need to get out into the garden to spread some salt on the path to kill some weeds that are growing. I am a fair weather gardener on the whole and am reluctant to go out there when its cold. One money saving thing we do that I havent mentioned is when we close the curtains we tuck them up on the window cill so the warm air from the radiators under the window doesnt disappear behind the curtains but goes into the room instead.I havent managed to list all the stuff I have brought back from my bil so am off to do some more. Have a good Saturday evening.4

Gosh I am tire and aching tonight. The kitchen is still not finished but there is only one more cupboard to clean, then the tiles, the gapps by the cooker and fridge, a good clean of the floor (that involves being on my hands and knees. I have, however, listed all the stuff I brought back from my bil. I hope some of it sells although it is all tiny stuff so I will not be making a fortune. I have more books ready for the charity shop tomorrow. There are some things upstairs that have never been listed so I must start on those and put all the stuff earmarked for a joblot together so nothing gets missed when I list it.Mr lh has been putting paint and lacquer on the bit of the car that was welded so I took Bear for his lunchtime walk on my own again. It was very hard work not helped by meeting a couple of friends so we stood chatting for a few minutes. Why does standing still hurt so much?A question for the clever people in MSE land. Where do the lids for plastic containers go? I start off with matching lids and boxes and end up with either boxes that dont have matching lids or no lids at all. This ends up meaning Ihave to get new ones and spend the money only to start the cycle again.Tomorrow will be a charity shop run and getting Mr LHs cigarettes before he runs out and then I might do a bit more in the kitchen if I have the energy. Now I am going to collapse on the sofa and do a couple of codewords before Bears walk time.3

Quite a few years ago I bought some plastic containers from Lakeland of differing sizes but the lids fit them all - game changer 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

They’re still doing them, called stack a boxes. You can use them in the fridge, freezer or microwave. Had mine for years and still going strong.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thank you for your kind words @ladyholly. I will heed them, I have other areas of the house which need attention but it's going to be a while until I can sort it all out so I will start inviting my friends around again this month! x3

You've been busy! I agree standing still is much more uncomfortable than moving!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney2

Sun_Addict Containers ordered this morning so all I will need to do is hide them so Mr LH doesnt wander off with them for who knows what. I think i will get some takeway type ones for him to steal.2 bags of books taken to the charity shop this morning. There are more to go but I am getting through them. On return home cleaned the remaining cupboards and the space where there isnt one but where the rubbish bin goes. The fire extinguisher is also there and I have discovered the dial for safety is in the red so we need a new one very soon. Not that I am planning on a fire but you never know. Tomorrow I am planning on getting my steamer out to try to get some of the ingrained grease on the tiles behind the cooker loosened enough to get it off. (As you may have realised by now I am no domestic godess but the state of the house has even made me move). It is surface clean but the deep cleans get missed mainly because I find it exhausting and end up hurting. Still moving more should be good for my health. The other good thing about all the cleaning is that I have found a forgotten bottle of Cava in the back of a cupboard. I am sure we will be able to deal with it in the near future. I did a load of washing yesterday but it is still damp so will stay hung up on the rack for another day.Another exciting day chez ladyholly.5
