Nothing much done re money saving today. I have tackled some jobs that have needed doing for ages and 2 loads of washing done and hung up to dry.  5 items listed on ebay and I have sold one for a few pennies already. I will try and sort some more out later for listing tomorrow. A couple of surveys done but the company have changed how many points you need for a payout so will have to wait until I can claim.

Nothing else to report today so a typical Saturday without seeing anyone except mr lh.

@ladyholly Maybe you'd do better with a "two for the price of one" regarding Mr Lh ..... I think I know just the person!   ;) xx

Evenin all. one and a half bags of books taken to the charity shop - the last half would have been just too heavy. So another load to go next time, ebay parcel posted, and Mr LH cigs bought along with snacks for tomorrows journey to my bil. Really looking forward to sitting on cold station platforms as 2 of them have no waiting room ar even a ticket office. I will be wearing a lot of clothes tomorrow I think. I have just put the recycling and rubbish out for the morning and there are snowflakes in the air. I am hoping it doesnt get heavier and settle or I will be getting a taxi to the station in the morning.

I opened a cupboard in the bathroom where I keep the towels for the dog and when the old conservatory leaked which was frequent and found they looked disgusting with nasty yellowy streaks. As they are all bath sheets I have washed two and put the rest to do either tomorrow when I get home or Wednesday. Too many to do all at once. The cupboard also cleaned out.

All the washing from Sunday is now dry and put away. There are a couple of bits of ironing but its not worth getting the iron out for so they will wait. Dinner was cold roast pork with the last bit in the freezer already sliced for another meal. Now going to settle down with my book before an early night as i have to be up about 5.30am.

Well this week is turning out to be very expensive. First the renewal for Bears insurance arrived and has gone up by £200. To be fair last years was an introductory offer so I knew it would go up but that seem rather a lot. He is also 6 now so wonder if he is hitting a senior dog category. I will investigate other companies and also have words with the existing one. More annoying is the MOT. The car failed on rust which having paid out for the rust proofing earlier in the year we are a little peeved to say the least. The trouble is the company never got back to us with a bill for Mr LH putting the wrong fuel in the loan car so we are reluctant to raise the issue with them. Hopefully the repair wont cost too much as it is quite a small hole. It is booked in for the repair on Friday. We cant really complain at the fail too much as we have had 5 years of it sailing through which isnt bad for a 25 year old car.

The journey to my bil went ok other than the second train arriving late so missed the connection but the next train is only about 15 minutes later and I did get that one. The journey home  arrived almost dead on time. Very tired though as I didnt sleep well on Monday night.

Another ebay parcel posted today so that is another tiny amount in my account. I brought back a little bit more stuff to sell. Most of which was my mothers which my sister was supposed to sell and never got around to doing. I have photographed it all but cant list as Mr LH is doing someting with the lead I need to go from my camera to the computer.

I had some bad news today about a friends dog who had decided to jump into a local pond and ended up dying from something in the water. Strangely I saw her today with her other dog and thought it was the dead one (they are very like each other) but she cut me dead which I thought was odd but I understand now. Bear on the other hand is  doing quite well at the moment although he will no doubt blot his copy book very soon.

I will end now as I am sure you have had enough and I am foing to get ready to take Bear for his evening stroll. I will hope its not too cold and the biting wind has dropped a bit.
