Said tongue in cheek - next time you have steak, cook them both then cut them both in two & have half each.  Of course you know that he will get the bad half of both of them.
    I like this idea :D

Hope you had a lovely day yesterday.

A quiet day yesterday especially the morning as Mr lh didnt rise from his bed until gone 12. We both took Bear out at lunchtime and he managed to walk him for a while so is obviously getting there although he did say his chest hurt when Bear pulled him to get to a nice smell. We did have a dog run at us so Mr lh shouted no and held his hand up. The owner then shouted at us to chill and his dog wouldnt hurt so I pointed out that it wasnt Bear we were worried about it was for his dogs safety as Bear can be unpredictable. Hopefully he has learned something. I do wish people would realise that dogs are often on a lead for a reason.

I had some lovely gifts from my family and friends and the eldest dgd will be at her parents today so there will be more to come.
We had duck for Christmas dinner which was really nice and had cooked well. I am about to go and strip it and hopefully there will be enough for this evening. If not I can use it for lunch. You dont get much meat on a duck.

Hope all have a good Boxing day and chance for a more relaxed day.

Good luck with the 2024 plans :)

    Enjoy the panto.

I like the Jack Reacher books.

Out to the panto with my lovely granddaughters yesterday which they had paid for and gave me lifts to and from. They even bought me an ice cream in the interval. It was a good show and I  don't think I have ever seen the girls laugh so much. I think I enjoyed seeing that as much as the panto.
When I got home the oldest one gave us Christmas gifts which included a mini cheese and wine box so no cheese will need to be bought for a week or two.

Today I have cleaned out my bedside drawers and found some items that I can use to make up a small job lot to sell. More clearing out to do and decluttering.  This is one of my goals for 2024 so an early start to the year.

A no spend day but I will pay the last council tax and 2nd to last water rates later.

Yesterday I bought the remembrance flowers for my mum. I was going to get Rose's but they didn't have yellow ones so I got tulips which being a spring flower was even more appropriate.

I saw several friends and acquaintances when  I walked Bear which was lovely and he saw a couple of his friends.  A very nice relaxed day. I hope everyone has had similar.

I love the panto, we were going to go this year but didn’t in the end. Sounds like you’ve had a nice couple of days 🙂
