My school friend and i (We're both in our 30's not still at school) are taking our children to the beach and having fish and chips and spending 2p's in the arcade :j while our husbands build my god daughters trampolin. When we get back their will be a little wine and the odd beer for the husbands (If they build the trampolin correctly) and possibly a take away too, not very money saving but, fun and i love spending time with our friends.

OH and I are cooking Christmas dinner for 13 on Christmas Eve - we did this last year and had lots of our friends round for our own mini-christmas.
So we're having turkey and all the trimmings
Bit scary cooking for so many though, especially in a small 2 bedroom flat! We have to borrow next doors dining table to make ours big enough!Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00

We will be having a buffet so the girls and visitors can help themselves. I've bought a few of asda's party foods but will also be making some, and will also cook a pot of curry.

Hello :hello:
There's a thread over on the Christmas board of everyone's festive menus so you'll definately find some inspiration! We usually have gammon, parsley sauce and mash with some other veg.
I was going to do Beef Bourgignon ? with a jacket potato and veg. I think I'll change to this as it sounds lovely!
Just been and put it on my Tesco order! messy Christmas. I note I made a mistake and put messy instead of merry, but I've decided to leave it!0 -
As this thread has fallen off the front page of Old Style, I've moved it over to the Christmas board to see if you can get more replies.
