    Hello,
Two different email addresses at Norwich Combined County Court -

    Filing and records: e-filing@norwich.countycourt.gsi.gov.uk

    Enquiries: enquiries@norwich.countycourt.gsi.gov.uk

Which one should I send the Witness Statement to?

Either send to both, or phone the court and ask them. We don't have universal knowledge of the appropriate email address for submitting documents for every county court in the country.

If I was a betting man, I'd chance the 'filing' one, but it costs you no more to send to both.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Evening All,

Just going through my paperwork to get things in order.

Noticed that when I received the ‘Notice of Transfer of Proceedings’ letter in October, it had been sent to Bury St Edmunds County Court.

The ‘Notice of Allocations to the small claims track (hearing)’ letter states that the claim will be heard at the County Court at Norwich.

Just confirming that my WS goes to Norwich and not Bury St Edmunds.

    Thanks
Can i just confirm with everyone that this is 100% correct? I have just received Claimant WS from DCB Legal and they have headed it up with -

IN THE COUNTY COURT AT BURY ST EDMUNDS

    Thanks.

You'd better check with your local court (whichever one of the above it is) to determine exactly where the case is listed. It could just be sloppy work by DCB Legal by putting Bury St Edmunds in, but you need to be sure which court it is.

    WS sent to correct court.

I CC’d in DCB Legal. Is this ok?  Or does it need sending separately to them?

I got the standard automated message back from the court and DCB Legal.

    Thanks

Email from the court stating the hearing has been vacated due to lack of judicial availability.

I emailed back stating that i would unable to attend if it is scheduled for the 11th July (day later than the original hearing date). This is due to me flying home from holiday. Hearing is by video so was all prepared to do it whilst on holiday.

Court replied stating - “Please complete an N244 application and pay the £108.00 court fee to have your request put before a judge.”

I assume I can just ignore this as I doubt they will schedule it for Tuesday now it is so close?

    Thanks.

That's a joke!  The court system is idiotic. The rearranged hearing will be a fair bit later.  Probably not in July and that's a good thing because this is a BIG month which will change the landscape on private parking.

After you return from holiday next week, stick around and join all of us in getting your driving family & friends (as well as your good self) to submit a response to the Public Consultation.

If you are not likely to pop back here every week to check, please set up email alerts for this forum and bookmark this thread (below) as we intend that one of us posts on it when the Government opens the Consultation:

Read only the latest (2022) posts there. The PPCs have blocked the new Code by filing for Judicial Reviews.

Stopped the much welcomed parking code from February 2022, which stated that added £60 or £70 false 'DRA fee' extortion was to be banned and that parking levels would start at £50.  It's all on hold...

Motorists urgently need the statutory Code reinstated and the ban on false 'DRA fees' confirmed, to stop the rot and the toxic 'bulk litigation' culture.

Thanks - so I don’t need to reply to the email about submitting a N244? I just wait to hear when the hearing will be re-arranged for?
