Had a relatively good day today. Attacked my 6 year olds room. Found a jumper and fluffy toy of my 9 year olds that had been hidden in a bag with slime all over it. God knows how i'm going to get that off! Started working on my batrhroom before tea but got an ibs attack so that stopped me. Pretty annoyed as I wanted to do some basics before the mil witch comes tomorrow. Oh well just more for her to complain about I guess :-(

Morning lovelies. Grey and foggy here but it looks like the sun is going to break through.
Today is THE day I must get this place looking presentable. Photos booked for tomorrow morning! I have a plan, just get on with it. Put all the bits that are still out away. Just think of the steps you're going to do today tidying up.
Hugs to all,
SMILE is on, rushing to get rubbish from bedrooms and bathrooms before kettle boils. Coffee will be on the run today. See you later when something, anything is done.11 -
Argh! Skip driver won't take the skip as its loaded too high apparently! Phoned DH...he can sort that.
Large cup of tea needed, coal fire blazing away and it's the hallway to sort and clean today...
I'm supposed to be out with the night crew from Maccy Ds tonight as the store is closed while they clean all the air ducting, but I'm not feeling it. I should go, but I feel grim. Hopefully I'll perk up later.
On a positive note - loads of chickens have reappeared...they must have all fled into the high ten house (not sure how they all squished into that) so casualties are only in the 10s not 100s. As I can't keep them under cover I'm in breach of the Avian Flu rules as I'm within a 10 mile restriction zone, but what can I do?
Today hasn't started very well...9 -
Great news about the chickens, Dizzy. Surely no reasonable person would expect compliance.
beautiful day here.

There is nothing in DDs bedroom which shouldn't be there, it's been wiped down and floor washed, just need to move the drum kit. Another bag of rubbish to go.
A quick pause for some lunch next.

No drs appointment left for Twinkle at 8:08... they open phones at 8am.. it is disgusting!
2 lots of laundry to hang out..
Dizzy... so pleased your feathery floofs have come home safe.. I bet they were starving..though maybe not, I'm guessing the saturated ground push a lot of bugs to thesurface for them to snack on. How many did you have??? I thought you had maybe 30 anyway.. Squeak is very interetsed and asked if we can have an inventory of your critters .. lol.. She also wants to come see your goats.. please.. Steel kitchen units.. like they have in commercial kitchens.. get those..
I managed to get dressed with some assistance and now have a nail appointment..

Morning all. It's a bright sunny day here so although I've a headache I've been out in the garden. Trimmed a hedge, tidied hydrangea, finally planted summer bulbs, planted potatoes. Also have done dailies and hoovered through and walked the dogs. Washing machine is now whirring with my muddy clothes.
DD is visiting this afternoon with DGD2 so not a lot else will get done now.
Righ, time for more parrots.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Good news about the chickens, Dizzy. I've got a picture in my head of you, DH, Small, Tiny, dogs, chickens and good ness knows what else all crowded into the same bed
I have hoovered the downstairs floors this morning, and am drying yesterday's load of washing on the bathroom radiator. Apart from that, very little flying has been done. I ache far too much, and anyway I've got too much admin work to do. I have just spent about 2 hours tracing the origin of a number of cheques paid in by the previous Treasurer.
DH's provisional date for his hip replacement might be in jeopardy as he has a small wound on one leg (caused by knocking it against something sharp) which is looking much nastier than it did a week ago - mind you, he tells me he had a shower yesterday morning without replacing the dry dressing I had put on it, and since the dressing is not waterproof, that probably caused most of the yuckiness today. Fortunately he had to go to the GP surgery for his long term review this morning, so the very efficient sister has put a better dressing on it and he has to go back on Friday.
Back to the accounts grindstone - I want to take the day off tomorrow, to deliver birthday presents to DDiL2 and DGS3, so I need to get this section finished today.9 -
Afternoon all
late checking in but thank you for the lists, dailies are being done here and laundry is circulating, I have 2 loads blowing on the line today with one eye on the sky!More stuff has been unearthed for the cs, every time I put something on that’s too big it’s going in the bag, I am not going to keep these clothes ‘just in case’ as I am determined not to put the poundage back on! Just short of 3 stone off now and I am starting to feel much better…Each day I have been managing a little ‘extra’ flying as we have a load of things on this weekend and I don’t want all my time taken up with the house! Today’s extra is to dust and hoover the lounge and bedroom, just eating my lunch and then will get that done.
Relieved that some of the chooks came home Dizzy, I too would like to find that tractor driver for you!Hugs to all as needed x8
