Oh so sorry to hear that Dizzy.
Very wild and windy here today but not so much rain. Didn't risk a run but after a load of 'discussion' with the TV, I found a free exercise thingy on AmPrime then dragged the mini trampoline out from behind bicycles in the garage and had a 10min bounce.
One load of washing done. Started to peg it out thinking it would dry in minutes, but the washing basket got caught by a gust of wind and nearly scattered my undies round the village, so I brought it all in.
Finished and emailed a report. Started another. Sent Zoom invites for this week's assessments which are both remote.
Booked a cheap guest house in Stratford-upon-Avon for August as my honorary cousin (no relation, but our mums have known each other since their 20s and are mutual godmothers to us) has re-scheduled her 60th lunch party, postponed during Covid. It will now be a pre-retirement party for her as well. We're going to pick up my mum and have booked 3 nights so we get a reasonable break after all the driving (3+hrs to mum, then 2.5 to Stratford). Topcashback of course.
Various bits of tidying.
Ditto admin.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Argh you all left me behind in the old thread lol! I'm rubbish at updating here! Doing well with decluttering - selling and giving stuff away free. Bagging what doesn't go for charity or just binning. My nerves are starting to go sky high as my mother in law is coming on Wednesday. She is a total narcisstic witch so i'm really worrying. She even has extended her stay so is here Weds til Mon! Grrr! I really don't know how I'm going to get through it tbh! Had a good housework day today. Didn't manage to get in the bathroom to swish and swipe as the kids were playing in there and the sink was full of water. Water play argh! But everything else tidied.

Bins out.. YEET!!!! All the stray and random bits have been flung in neighbouring half empty bins.. I just need some house!
DW loaded while I was doing dinner but it needs doing again in the morning. and probably again in the afternoon!!
I have 2 loads of wet stuff needs hangin up/out tomorrow too.
I will list 5 items to sell tomorrow and I have a pair of jeans still to find and post.. I have absolutely no idea where they are.
One of the customers OH spoke to today told him he was the most helpful person he had ever spoken to, he took time to make sure the customer understood and was clear and didn't use jargon. Straight after that his supervisor complained he had been on hold for ages because a separate system had glitched and said he was doing something he was not.. I think looking for a new job is going to be happening sooner rather than later.. 3 left on Thursday.. and another 2 are leaving imminently.. out of 15 originally they are down to 6, this is week 6.
Anyway.. meds and bed..

Morning everyone, up early, extremely, as OH is off on a business trip and airports want you to check in even earlier. I struggled to get to sleep last night so only just missed ASB. Not enough sleep isn't good for my patience and mood, luckily only 2 cats at home with me today. I will take advantage and go to bed early tonight.
Bags from weekend unpacked and put away
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on for the first of many
Radio's on, breakfast's eaten so now to get on with frantic last minute tidying and cleaning as estate agent is coming one morning this week, depending on the weather, and looking at the forecast it could well be today. Nothing like a big boot up the ****!
Hugs & coping vibes to all, especially Dizzy and anyone else effected by the storms.12 -
Morning all
Quick check in from me, 10 hours at the paid stuff yesterday, didnt get home until nearly 10pm, didnt have the best nights sleep and back at it this morning.
Much much love Dizzy. I think of you every time we get a lot of rain xx
DH hoovered the LR yesterday, other bits need doing. Yesterdays washing is still out on the line so I am going to grab that and stick it in tumbler to finish it off. DW emptied, quick tidy around kitchen, now off to get a shower and back in the office.
Will catch up properly later. Hope the weather is being kinder to you all. Have a good Tuesday xx12 -
Morning all,
Another quick check in here as well.Love and hugs to Dizzy xx Find that tractor…
A long 10 hours at paid stuff yesterday. DH had the day off to take DD to a (new hospital to us) physio appointment as I couldn’t get the day off. First appointment with her that I haven’t been to, ever. He wasn’t allowed past the reception. It was a good job it was a) physio not oncology and b) she was good to go alone and c) that Mummy Tiger wasn’t there. They all survived, it seems.Kitchen dailies done yesterday, and nothing else.
Wm on this morning. I have a dentist appointment shortly, then a haircut - opposite directions and 30 minutes minimum drive between them. I am annoyed at myself for having the stress of the appointments too close together, just because I couldn’t say No when the time suited the hairdresser and not me… And a friend wants to go for a walk straight afterwards - again, “No” didn’t come out of my mouth when my head said it quite clearly.
Piggers - maybe OH is the best ever at the job, that is why the others are dropping like flies. He sounds like someone you would want at the end of the phone line - the powers that be maybe need to see that. Good luck! X
Have a good day all. Keep safe from the weather. It’s very grey and blustery here. xx11 -
Morning all
Dizzy I’m so sorry for your troubles, poor chickens 😕😕. Hope today is brighter for you.
Piggers - what a shame that TPTB don’t recognise the error in their ‘systems’. Hope your Oh is ok xx
AF has arrived with a vengeance, bringing aches, cramps and headaches with her. I am back in bed with a cuppa and some biscuits. It’s so wet and wild here the animals won’t be happy. Nor will the children be come to think of it!
Love to all x
