Poor Dizzy. How sad that after losing the little goat she's now been flooded again. How utterly miserable for her.Sorry to hear Squeak didn't get a place at the school she wanted to go to, Piggers. I hope you're feeling a bit better this week - having just caught up with last week's thread you sounded ground down.Ionafan - I use washing up liquid or $tardr0ps, whichever is closest, and get down on my hands and knees with a microfibre cloth. I've tried various types of mops over the years but all of them seem to push dirt up against the edges so I've given up with them. I also have a very nifty knee pad which makes it bearable, and where I finish is down some steps so I don't have to creak back up to full height in one movement, which might not go too smoothly.Happy belated birthday, YL.We've had several days of interesting weather which haven't resulted in any disasters for us but I hear that not all is well in some areas of Plymouth, with trees down on cars and roadsigns and roof slates skimming around dangerously. We've walked Layla by darting around various structures as windbreaks so she hasn't missed any which is is a good thing and she's got rain jackets. I've also managed to get four loads of washing through the WM and blown to smithereens out of on the sundeck, having been very securely pegged. I don't think we lost anything over the wall or fences although I've salvaged several things from the sundeck itself, and they've all been pegged on securely, or so I thought. We did a fair amount of Flying yesterday between us, vacuuming etc but it completely knackered me. Something just isn't right - I really shouldn't have been pole-axed by that amount of work which used to be perfectly manageable.Better is good enough.11

Hello! 👋
Thank you for the lists! I had a really lazy day yesterday with a severe case of the "cba's" I have done slightly better today. I have done the following:
Put on DW
Washed up remaining pots
Made soup with homegrown carrots that have been cluttering up the fridge for a few months! (it is amazing how long they kept in those green bags!)
Walked grumpy dog
Cleaned the upstairs toilet & basin
Cleaned the downstairs toilet & basin
Emptied the food bin
DH did the food shop (we meal planned yesterday). He also fitted the new wheels on my allotment wagon 😁 He needs to put the tools away in the shed!
Which reminds me, I need to call the shed company (based at the end of my road) and ask if they can come and measure up for a new shed. We want to maximise the space available. I am surprised the current shed is still standing after last week's storm!!
I also need to source a new toilet seat for upstairs. It would appear to be a non-standard shape 🤦♀️
I think I will make a cuppa, and then start dinner. I usually go to SW on Mondays, but we have a new consultant & she is changing the time to an hour later. That doesn't work for me, so I am switching to another group on Wednesday.
Hugs to Dizzy. It is devastating that she has to endure this 😢

What a shame for Dizzy again.
Just back from DDs where I did lots of washing up and we walked the dogs. Before going there I took Littleydog to the vet, changed bedding, dusted bedroom, did dailies, dusted living room, hoovered round house and walked the dogs.
Going to read a while now before making tea.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
Oh poor Dizzy.. I would just walk away and leave it all to its own devices.. poor love.. Iona.. send her our love and tell her we are thinking of her..
I have another binbag out of the girls room and mountains of toys to rawl through this week... I hate toys.. horrible things..
2x WMBedding out on the line.. off to throw food at children and I may need a shower and an early night.. I feel filthy and I am exhausted. #
These new medications had better never wear off because I would be in absolute agony I'm sure.. I am hoping they last a bit longer than 4 hours overnight.. I need to sleep.O2 systems suffered a total loss of connection for a few hours so OH has had a bit of a break to eat.. and the cat yakked on my bed so I have that lot to wash next.. it is my duvet and blanket so has to be done fast.. We have a SK 13 tog duvet and I have an additional 10.5 tog and a fleece blanket on my side.. not that I am always freezing or anything.. but...
Darn it.. Moomin didn't remind me to ring dr's and they closed 15 minutes ago.. is it just me that remembers these things minutes after places close? I do it all the time! I need a bloods and appt and she needs a bp check.. I need a woohoo appintment too but it's the wrong week for that.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)10 -

"I am sorry to learn of the issue with your recent purchase - please accept my apologies.
So that we may assist you further, could you send a video which demonstrates the problem please?"
They are asking for a video of a light not working!!! Are they utterly demented???

Hi girls...we are alive, if very, very wet.
Sadly, most of the chickens didn't make it, but the goats, cats, dogs and children did.
Our flood defences held well, despite a record high on both rivers local to me, until an utter !!!!!! in a tractor sped through the water filming the chaos for FB and YouTube. The bow wave breached our gateway barriers and collapsed them, letting in all the water. If I ever find out who he was...
All my girlfriends rallied today and I've had loads of cleaning help and childminding care, but I'm totally shattered now and in bed with two small collie puppies fighting on my pillow...
I'll update again tomorrow x9 -
Dizzy.. if they posted on FB/IG/YT they will be easy enough to find... A plague of fleas and ticks upon their nethers.. There can't be that many peoplewho would live near you with a tractor.. farms aren't small.. I'd be reporting it to the police and the insurance company and let them track them down... they have filmed their own evidence to use against them. poor chickychooks.. you need coops in boats

Good to hear from you Dizzy. Sorry I didn't get round to passing on the love and other messages earlier: I have hardly sat down this afternoon/evening. Very sad to hear about your chickens, glad that all is well with the dogs and goats - and children! (though I can't imagine that they would be fazed by a bit of water! Remember the fountain at Powis Castle?
)
I took Rosie for a walk once the wind had dropped, shopped for food and put it all away, cooked tea, did ironing, and made urgent phonecalls. Tomorrow morning I've got my scan at 9.15, then have to stay away from other people for the rest of the day, so will carry on with the accounts. Going crosseyed over them isn't helping, but some progress has been made today. The one thing I didn't even try to do because I ran out of time was clean DH's room.9 -
Hi Tooch lovely to see you
Dizzy - what utter tw@ts. Agree with Piggers I would be reporting them too...
i have cleaned the kitchen and bathroom. DR just needs vacuuming, everything else is done. I have been knitting too. Due to my failure to see the ** notation on the pattern I'm now knitting a round neck not a v. For a colleague's baby. But I'm knitting with blue wool. I have lemon the the great niece/nephew because I don't know what flavour that baby is. Oh and I've been and had my feet 'done'. So they feel soft and smooth.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
