4. This keying error that occurred was due to not wearing my reading glasses, so I could not see the digits very clear [clearly...] on the machine.
6. The sign (exhibit 1) states in large writing that [i must?] display ticket inside windscreen so I did not have the option to buy the ticket online or through an app.
7. I realised I made a keying error and so I rang the customer service number straight away whilst in the car park that is provided on the sign (exhibit 1) but unfortunately this number diverted my call to AA roadside assistance. [don't understand. was the number incorrect? did your phone divert automatically?. A number does not divert, some agency or entity diverts...] There was no instructions provided or any guidance as to what I should have done in my situation.
12. The claimant made no legitimate interest [don't understand this - unless it's copy and paste legalese] in obtaining my data at all, which completely distinguishes my case from Beavis.See above. just highlighting some typo's and grammar, but I'm only a casual reader of this forum, so go with the experts. good luck.

Legitimate interest is legalese from the Beavis case (a very important phrase)! However it should say 'had no legitimate interest'. Not 'made'.
The witness should add here:
4. This keying error that occurred was due to not wearing my reading glasses, so I could not see the digits very clear on the machine. However, it was merely one digit out, so should have been matched to my payment easily when the Claimant carried out the mandatory 'human checks' required by their industry Code of Practice to find such things as minor keying errors and avoid requesting DVLA data of registered keepers unfairly and unnecessarily for a mere typo.
(then quote what the BPA or IPC has to say about keying errors). Can't recall if this PPC are BPA of IPC.

hey guys so my court case is this friday along with my grans. I will be the lay rep for her. Will she be asked questions by the judge/claimant that she has to answer directly or can i always answer on her behalf?
Also whenever I am referring to my gran, do I say her name or do i have to say my client??0 -
Don't say my client, say her name! She isn't your client.Have the Lay Reps RoA Order1999 printed out and be ready to explain to the Usher when you sign in that you are attending BOTH hearings and for your Gran's, you are not a McKenzie friend (a silent helper) you are a Lay Representative and will speak for her, as is her right.
Yes, very likely she could well be asked Qs. If that happens DO NOT INTERRUPT, bite your tongue.
If you win the first one, mention that at the second one!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The function of a Lay Rep is to make the legal arguments and submissions. The Defendant (your gran) has made a Witness Statement, and can be questioned on the factual matters in the statement by the Claimant's advocate, and/or the Judge.star1800 said:hey guys so my court case is this friday along with my grans. So you need to anticipate what questions might be asked, and make sure she knows how to answer them.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.2 -
Hey guys, on this one my gran won the cases as the judge said she believed a ticket was purchased. But she still has to pay the court charges and so on so its about £130. I thought if you win , you shouldnt have to pay any charges and it would be on the claimant?

What did the judge actually say? Are you sure it wasn't that the claimant had to pay your gran?1
-
No, she stated that because it’s come to court so you have to pay court fees and solicitor fee and So on. It was about £1300
