Scottish Power - Exclusive Fixed June 2023 B1

I'm in the same situation not sure what to do . Offered fixed June 2023 b1 but my current fixed rate doesn't end until end of June. Currently pay £130 a month for electric , new cost would be £172.99. This is taking into consideration my account is £360 in credit. If I switch now I presume it'll be straight away so will be paying more for 4 months. Should I take offer now or hold out ??0

Looks like this Offer has now been taken off sale. I went to move to it today, after considering it for last few days but its gone!I should have acted sooner, all that SP are offering now are their "normal" 1 year & 2 year Fixed Rates, both of which are around the same and for me would see my monthly payments going from £115 to £255. I'm currently in a SP fixed rate expiring end May, so will just sit tight and see what transpires.0

Still seems to be classed as 'available for sale'. If you go to Tariff information - Scottish Power you'll see the following, although actually switching to it may be another matter !0

I've tried to switch today. It's still advertised and available. They wouldn't budge. I took timed screenshots, used the talk back service, emailed and called to make a complaint.
I do understand as I was told by a rep these offers aren't available to every customer.
But when you click on your account it does say we will calculate the best deal for you.
Obviously the deal they give you ISNT the best deal if there are other deals still available which are cheaper.
Not sure I'll get anywhere but I'll give it a go. But it's not good on them in this climate where we are all struggling
They also said these deals can be pulled off line, and it's a first come first serve.0 -
I also tried to switch to this B1 tariff today which was on my screen at the time and definitely available but they would not let me, seems you can only go on a tariff that is being offered to you, the ones being offered to me are very high pence per kwh ! Why is that ??? Raised a complaint and they're calling me on Tuesday, what are the odds the deal will be gone by then anyway.1

I screenshot the deal with the time and date.
We can only try.
My opinion for what it's worth is if they have these deals still available and still advertised online and they are on a first come, first serve basis then why when you click on the button to get a deal it's says "hold on we're getting the best deal for you" we are then offered dearer deals!! And told you can't have it.1 -
I told them the deal is in front of me on the screen and appearing on my account page but they had no way of applying the tariff I wanted, I said it's false advertising, seems we can only have the extortionate tariffs that are offered us with "best deals". Anyhow the complaints department are calling me, I've done screenshots, I want to ask what the criteria is to get the other deals offered to you which to be honest aren't that great anyway, in April it will likely only be a very small percentage lower than the new Standard tariff and even possibly higher, this is the risk we are taking with a Fixed rate. I'll let you know what happens. Good luck.2

Good luck getting a resolution / 'acceptable' deal all. I'm glad I pushed the button when I did, but it wasn't an easy decision to make and I continually wondered if we'd done the right thing.2

I was in the same position as the OP - current deal ending on Monday, then this "exclusive" offer of £150 a month more than at present. Other "deals" were £250 a month more. Procrastinated on it for several days, couldn't find what it would cost if I went over to the variable rate then within an hour of the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine I had signed up. I can foresee a massive increase in the cap later this year...1

I'm so glad I fixed when I did. My old fix wasn't due to end for over a month, but I worked out the difference between what I'd used in the last month on my old tarrif , then roughly what ii may use between now and the end of the that tarrif. Then used those rough figures on the new tarrif and yes it's going to cost me about £40 + more but with the new tarrif that ends April 2023 and I won't get an increase come October 2022.
It's was a nightmare to work out but I had help from members on here and a Facebook forum.2
