    @WillPS
It would appear I have received an RBS Mastercard with the house on the front. So sadly as you predicted no Drummond card. But I await the arrival of the actual card, but I have added it on Apple Pay and it is an RBS design.

Next I will go for the cheque book!

Final warning, Child & Co is closing within a few days, if you want an account, the time has now come!

The Drummonds card shows as such (Drummonds branding) on Apple Pay. I have previously uploaded a picture on a separate thread but have since remove it from my Apple Wallet.

edit: my teen son has it on his Apple Wallet and just sent me a picture:

Wow amazing. Be interesting to see what the new Mastercard design is like.
You're assuming there will be a Drummonds (or Child & Co) branded debit Mastercard - given they are both effectively minor brands of Royal Bank of Scotland plc, they could issue a RBS debit Mastercard or retire either brand with little fanfare.

It's not just an assumption, it's what RBS have publicly said will happen:
The Child & Co brand will remain as normal . All of the cheque books debit cards will remain the same. It is just the Branch that is closing.

    Plans can change of course.

Taken literally, that would mean that Child & Co debit cards are going to stay as Visa, and never will change to Mastercard.

Which means nothing as the sole branch is closing to be merged with a Royal Bank location and Visa Debit is already fated.
NatWest group may opt not to waste time/money on a debit Mastercard for what will be a legacy brand.

You would imagine Natwest has a multiple million pound contract for Mastercard to supply cards to the bank. Regardless of brand which is printed on the front. I think it unlikely Visa cards will remain. In addition Child & Co has a private group of customers as does Drummonds. So I expect both brands will be retained, and Mastercard versions will be issued.

It doesn't really cost that much more to retain these brands after all. A card will be made regardless. All you would really need to pay for is the design. I'm not sure if RBS have an in house team for such things. Another aspect is that plastic cards are obsolete. A bank can allow you to add a card to your phone without having the physical card. We are on the road to plastic cards being request only. I suspect it will happen and become widespread in the next five years. There is already talk of digital driving license and passports. With physical being request only. For driving licenses this is far closer to happening, passports is far more completed and may take another decade.

This is a speculation at this point as all we do know is Visa Debit is fated within the NatWest Group.
Drummonds is far more likely to get a rework as it's an active brand; Child and Co not so from COB tomorrow.

Coutts is their main wealth brand in England and Wales; it has it's own banking licence, cards and branding.
Drummonds and Child & Co are neither - they are only brands names of Royal Bank of Scotland.

I believe it has already been pointed out a few times, RBS has stated the brands are staying. Unless they are fibbing we should see a Mastercard Child & Co card.

They could well support a limited amount of Visa Debit Cards as well the same way other banks still support cards in both Visa and MasterCard network, so not sure that it is a definite, although I probably agree that it is most likely

Revolut use both Visa and Mastercard.
So does Natwest Group ;) the difference is they've signed an arrangement to transition all debit cards to the latter.
