Cynergy 6mth 4.85% Anyone applied for this? Doesn't appear to be available when I apply. Rate showing is 4.76% on website and application. Only found 4.85 on Compare Accounts link of website - when account opened, it states 4.76% Has it dropped already?0

It's still showing as 4.85% in the summary box (drop-down menu at the bottom of the account product page) - are you sure it isn't the 4.78% gross (monthly) figure you spotted ? It wouldn't be too surprising it the rate has dropped though, as it's been top of the 6 month fixed rates for a week or so now.BillTee said:Cynergy 6mth 4.85% Anyone applied for this? 4.76% is also currently the loyalty rate for the 1 year fixed rate bond.0 -
Another catch I’ve fallen foul of is sending a deposit from a non nominated/linked external account which gets returned a day later. They accepted £1 to my easy access account, don’t know if different terms for a fixed rate account. Their message service seems populated by sensible humans not bots so may be worth sending one!cloud_dog said:Hi...beggining of the month I opened a Gatehouse FR, and I made a £1 test deposit yesterday evening and it hadn't appeared in the FR account by 6:30pm (ish), and I've just seen in my current account that the £1 has been returned.
Am I right in thinking that as it is below the minimum FR balanc amount Gatehouse won't accept a £1 test payment? (Seems sort of obvious as they have returned it, I. just wanted to check with people who may have gone through this with GH)1 -
Yes, that's where I saw 4.85 but when I proceed to open 6mth, key features and confirmation email shows 4.76 so I guess it must have dropped and they hanven't updated that page.refluxer said:

Has anyone had any issues with Hampshire Trust Bank's fixed rate accounts since they changed their site? I'm intending to take out the money from a 2 year fix and place it into another fixed rate deal at another bank. However, to do this they expect you to enter exactly how much you wish returned to your nominated account rather than have a 'whole balance' option. It would be easy enough to calculate the capital plus 4.65% interest, but it refuses any higher total than the original capital plus a miniscule amount (about 0.1%). I'm thinking of entering a 14 day window for another fixed deal from another bank, but if HTB mess me around and fail to return the balance on the same day as maturity I may miss the window, and they don't fill me with confidence.0

Atom rates now 4.6% across the board 9 months - 5 yr fixed2
-
Interestingly, that's a small reduction in the 6 month - 1 year rates and small increase in the 2 - 5 year rates.Pompeydave1967 said:Atom rates now 4.6% across the board 9 months - 5 yr fixed

I wonder if the Loyalty Rate 4.85 " ** For Fixed Rate Bonds on maturity when you reinvest. " means that you only receive the 4.85 for 6mths if you THEN reinvest with C on maturity - not clear and not typical of Cynergy, which usually specifies bonus component.SpanishBlue said:BillTee said:
