The paper wrapping is quite pretty, though I think this is taking frugality a bit far.
I was thinking of putting some in the Smallholders’ Association raffle at the next meeting.
We have had some very good talks on thrift.
The sheets are about half a centimetre narrower and two centimetres shorter, 10 x 10 cm, and a bit thinner than Aldi quilted toilet paper, tiny when folded.
The double roll may give 80 more sheets than two Aldi QTP, but it is only 1.6 metres longer, 13 sheets of Aldi QTP difference.
It may need more sheets? The three layers hold together well, one layer of the Aldi QTP comes adrift sometimes. It wasn’t too bad with water and soap, some papers disintegrate.
It doesn’t feel as soft.
It is adequate, so-so, but I am comparing recycled paper to new paper.
Perhaps the feeling of being virtuous will make it feel a bit better? No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Anyone else find that their loo roll consumption skyrockets when they have visitors to their home? My friend stayed for a week and i used nearly 3 times what i would normally use in 7 days.1

Who Gives a Crap offered a refund because I didn’t like their toilet paper.
I thought that was nice of them.
We are getting used to it. It is good enough.2 -

It is good to report when a company tries hard to satisfy their customers.
Who Gives A Crap offered a full refund. They did not want the remaining items returned because they want to reduce their carbon footprint. I have their permission to pass them on or donate them.
I did not want a refund, there is nothing wrong with their recycled toilet paper. It is just different from our usual non-recycled paper.
We are a pampered lot!
Because I was not happy with it, WGAC are sending some of their posher bamboo T.P.
That is kind.

WGAC is investing heavily in marketing with a national TV campaign - not sure about the visuals but the stats about the heavy destruction of trees made me feel guilty for existing.
Their CS address however tickled me: wedo@whogivesacrap.orgNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
