I just bought Tesco 24 pack Little Duck supreme quilted 3 ply at £6.79. Not tried it yet but the feel seems good on my hands anyway.1

Bit pricey now - one roll sold on eBay yesterday for more than £40!Chris_English said:The Izal medicated trading paper that we had in schools in the seventies must have been chosen based on cost, have you tried that?0 -
Presumably sold as a secondhand antique (was going to say "used" but probably not the best term in this case).Doc_N said:

The thing with bog roll is about habits, the cheap stuff can be horrible and weak so you use a ton of it to compensate but if you then buy the more expensive/more robust option you have to adjust the quantity you use, else you are just flushing it down the toilet.

The tesco rolls the ones we buy are now 650 for 6 but it was the 9 pack before they ar e quilted and three-ply. The same ones that are scented still come in the 9 pack but the 6 and 9 have the same number of shiets when you count all the sheets per packProTofik said:Toilet roll is quite expensive considering I use it to w.. alright without details. I used to be buying 9 rolls tesco value for £1.90 but I haven't seen it in store or online for ages, I assume they don't do it anymore.
Toiler roll usage in my house is quite high so I'm looking for best quantity/quality value for money. I tried to do the math myself but there are different lengths, thickness, some claim to be double efficient, and so on... So here is my question, where do you get your toilet rolls from? Bulk order from the internet? Something off the shelf at supermarket?
I have Tesco, Asda, and Lidl near me. I'm near Sainsbury about twice per month but never shop there.
I ordered toilet roll off amazon once but quality was so poor I'm still recovering from this experience.

I've got a discount code on a flyer through my letterbox this week so am inclined to try this now.Rosa_Damascena said:
Intrigued by this, I took a look at the products: https://uk.whogivesacrap.org/products/recycled-3ply-toilet-paper . My first thought is that I would not usually spent as much as £22 on 48 rolls, but then I realised I probably would! Still, spending the best part to £45 on TP alone is pretty galling. Yet if it was a case of piling skincare goodies into an online basket would have no hesitation.Makingabobor2 said:Cheap is not always best value. My pet hate for toilet roll....as with anything else TBH, is the excess use of plastic. I love Who Gives A C***, order online and no plastic. Good quality and good value. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
As an aside, prog-rock band The Groundhogs had a track on the "Who Will Save The World" LP called "Bog Roll Blues"!Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!0

Careful - those flyers are usually printed on shiny non-absorbent paper…….Rosa_Damascena said:
