Need to do a quiclk bit of housework before I go into the office at 10. OH has been teaching me new stuff this week and today he is giving me a test. :eek: I hope my punishment isn't too severe if I fail. (be quiet Aussie)

Morning all!

Happy birthday Penny-Pincher!

Hard at work in the office today after many trips away. Completely ruined my meal plans! But saved on the heating and such-like. Swings and roundabouts! (and Tesco points on my company fuel)

Struggling to be OS at the minute with having been away so much and not managing to plan very much - so off to find the threads on the subject. That said, made sausage & bean casserole in the slowcooker over night, and have brought my lunch to work like a good girl - so getting back on track!

Hope everyone has a good day and drives safely in the ice. (Or is that just up here?????)

You're right, Mioliere, I do pop in from time to time - I don't have the time when i'm at work to join in the forums very much though, as am out the house from 8:30-7:15, then work in the evenings freelance from home Today and tomorrow though i'm all yours

Ok, done so far:
1 lot washing on
Cleaned inside of soap dispenser on w/m and door seal
Phoned Grandad to sing Happy Birthday
Folded clothes
Wrapped presents

About to brave the cold to do the shopping... no idea what to have with this baked camembert tonight but it's got to be used up! mmm x

Another frosty morning!
Finally brought my turkey crown yesterday morning! And I also popped into Wyndsors Shoe shop, as they've started their sale!

mrs-mix - hope you have success with chasing up your new settee, well done on the exam result.
Hester - thats out of order ref BIL. I certainly woul dbe having words if it was my situation.

Charlie's mum - Ive finished with my ebay sales for the time being! People will be buying last minute at the mo and hope to receive them in time for Xmas, but then you have to think of the January Sales, will people buy in the sales or ebay? I tend to start listing again, around end of Jan time!
moiliere - hope you get the tv sorted, ours went like that. Despite putting an advert on freecycle, I ended up buying a secong hand one!

redruby - kids hey? My DD is friend with a boy at school, they fell out, she was upset, teacher made them hug and make up, but that didnt make any difference. She's now moved on. Things will sort them selves out! Dont worry! She'll be fine im sure!

The family meeting went well the other night. The therapist has been in touch with the school, and they've finally decided that DS does require "special need" support! Its only taken 4yrs to get to this stage. I just hope action speaks louder than words! I need to look into other clubs/activities for him, just to help him along with social skills!

Hi all, just popping in to say hello before I get going. I have a 'day off' today, yay, so have to get the bathroom and upstairs cleaned, make up a bed for DS who is coming home tomorrow (can't wait! haven't seen him since September and am desperate to give him a hug), get the cards finished off and stamped ready to post tomorrow and wrap tons of presents :eek: all before lunch because I'm off to get my hair cut later on and then the mad cook-in will start. Phew. Why do we do this to ourselves at this time of year??? Must be mad.

Anyway, hugs to all, sorry I haven't had time to read through the thread properly but hope everyone is OK.

Hi PAULIE'S GIRL!

TRU - I don't feel that guilty any more! I had done it for years and my last job became so stressful that the family begged me to stop because it was affecting me (and, consequently, everyone else in the house) so badly and, even though my youngest moved into his own home last year, he says he still gets a warm glow knowing I haven't got to go work - especially to that awful job. I try and make up for it though by being really OS. I would feel guilty if I didn't do homebaking and cooking from scratch and so on, though. I have the time and the motivation and the house has never been so clean and organised. Well, you wouldn't believe that if you could see the spare room, which is covered in wrapping paper and carrier bags full of things that need wrapping! I used to fume at work thinking about all the things I could be doing at home! I don't miss it all and wonder how I ever had the time! The worst distraction for me is this place! I think I'll just log on for five minutes and an hour later, I'm still here!

CRAZY - I've just texted DS2 and he has a spare TV so problem solved!

AGEANDJO - poor you; that's a horrible feeling especially when you just can't shake it off. If you've been feeling like it for a while, it might be worth seeing your doctor in case there is an underlying cause - there's no point suffering if it can be sorted out. If I feel like that I put my favourite music on and dance around the kitchen - it sounds mad but it does lift the spirits and makes you feel energised. You can't stop smiling to yourself. I do hope you feel better soon.

Well, I really shouldn't be on here - I have so much to do.

Morning all !

Very cold and ice still around everywhere...........bbbrrrrrrrrrrrr !!

Bit more organised today I think..............washing churning away, washed hair, sorted out packing for going away tomorrow (only going for the weekend -youd think it was a month!!)
Paperwork to do and I will get it done today.............have to........got a meeting at 1pm so need some of it sorted for that !

Think (hope) I'm in for a better day.............not exactly following Flylady's list of 'stuff to do' but getting there, bit by bit.


(Starling from yesterday I think still in boiler room I think. Heard no noises and don't think it would find the cat flap to get out..........not with three cats watching !!)

Well i started to post this morning, but then LO arrived and her dad kept me talking, so it was a mad rush then out of the door, but we just made it to school in time, so panic over.

Ive just been to the doctors for my first blood test, will be having one a week for the next four weeks, then will be seeing my consultant and hopefully he will then discharge me to my doctors care, save me havign to go to the hospital every few months!!!

Have just put LO down for a sleep, and im about to get the dressing up stuff out for the other Lo who is here today - we will then be taking her picture and turning her into an angel for her christmas tree!!!

Bathroom and toilets need cleaning, as does the kitchen floor, but think i will do them this afternoon - im going to have a cup of tea and do some dressing up first!
