Realised there was only one plug in the extension lead. Plug now in wall socket and extension lead dusted and put in 'cables & wire' drawer.
Then got to work on a pile of gubbins by the hearth. Only one piece of paper to recycling, but a wadge of certificates and paperwork plus a Silverstone F1 GP programme put into a bag for DS, and envelopes/ stationery / diary of DS's first year / first Toots list put into a cupboard.
So that's a bit more floor in the living room 😊
I sat on the foot stool to sort through the pile .... which was fine until I tried to stand up!!!!! And couldn't 😱. Eventually I threw myself up and forward at the same time - and it worked. Now recuperating 😵

Good afternoon!
Thank you for the lists ladies 😁
I have crossed something off the extras list as I have been to the hairdressers today. Several inches cut off, and my hair is the shortest it has been for a couple of years. I am hoping the weight of it will help on the sw scales tonight! 🤣
I started the day by going for a run in the country park with DH. We don't run together because he would find it difficult to run at my pace. He would literally be walking!! 😂 Other than that, and the haircut, I haven't done much 🤦♀️ WM x2 both dried in the TD, and a few coats more on the mirror I am painting. It has been the wrong colour for my bedroom (yellow pine) for years! It is useful though, so it is now white to match the rest of the furniture. It is a mirror on a stand with a little box, so a bit fiddly. It is an experiment as I want to move on to the LR furniture, and then the kitchen! Watch this space!!
Hugs to asb, YL, Round, Iona and everyone else that needs them. I have briefly read back but I have forgotten who said what now! 🤦♀️
SW tonight 🤞 and then an evening of knitting. I am hoping to finish my scarf (that matches my hat), and then I can continue with the baby shawl. I might do a hat for DD2 though, if I have wool left, as she said she liked mine 😁
Have a good week all!12 -
Shuffling in late under the searchlight, as always…
Thank you for the lists. In my dreams I keep up with them.
Today I have achieved everything on all the lists nothing. Note to self - stop fantasising. Dinner cooked, WULTD, kitchen tidied after a fashion. I might be another having an evening of knitting.
Tomorrow the car goes into the dreaded garage. I just hope that they find something wrong and I can get it fixed, as having a car that I’m too wary of driving is getting mighty frustrating.
Hugs to all, especially Iona, Round, ASB and YL xx12 -
Hi all
Funny day at the paid stuff, I was asked a question in a meeting and made a complete mess of trying to answer it. No massive big deal but of course I feel the need to beat myself up about it. I have also lost some cupboard keys which is really annoying. And no-one can find the spares which I may have also had. Oh well tomorrow is another day.
Not much flying done. Felt a bit sorry for myself when I got home so had veggie shepherd pie out of the freezer and collapsed on the sofa.
Oh but DH did take in the Mr T order so we are stocked up. And I managed a 30 minute walk in the sun at lunchtime, so not all bad.
Fingers crossed the car is easily sorted Fayolle

Had hoped to start off with a run then do loads today.....however warm bed v howling gale outside, guess who won?
Felt so guilty I did an enormous blitz on the en suite, at least level 4!!!! So shiny.
Got so carried away with the cleaning, I was late joining a webinar which was annoying; however I caught the last 25mins which was good and hopefully they will send on the recording.
Did a bit of report writing, sadly not as much as I'd feared.
Continued decluttering computer; am culling my way through downloads but showing progress.
Various bits of admin.
Did some drumming practice.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
I didn't blow away.. but I did get the yellow cardigan finished and started a blue one.
I spent an hour sorting gibble from my room.. all the christmas presents boxed ready for wrapping.. and lots of small boxes binned.
Some cheeky mare said they wanted an item I have for sale on FB and then said 'it's £40 right?' ... erm, no.. £70.. can you not read?? So they were duly blocked and deleted.. I have no patience for them and avoided all confrontation until they log in with their alternate accounts lol.. Anyway.. it is still in my room, still for sale.. and I caused a huge clothesalanche getting it out.. and that started the tidying..
nest time.. OH is threatening to go to the gym in the morning so I have to get everyone ready for school.. educate Squeak, pick everyone up, do dinner and anything else which may or may not get done.

Morning, I'm in again after a long day yesterday taking DD1 back, 7 hours driving is all I did yesterday but it did mean the house didn't get any messier. I had actually had a tidy round before we left.
So today is a new day and a new month! Radio is on and I'm ready to go.
Bed made, clothes picked up.
Banking and spreadsheets checked
Off to put the kettle on and go and get a load for WM.14 -
Morning ladies
A little late to the party as usual, hope you’re all okay. We spent the weekend hunkered against both storms; amazingly we didn’t lose power this time which I was so grateful for. Windy again here today.
Flying has been fairly non existent so I must do something today. I need to find £140 to pay for the kids school dinners so eBay is going to be my main priority this week.
Mademoiselle - the thought of all that wood made me so happy! Glad it’s been distributed to be used. That made my heart glad.
I need to drink this cuppa then get a shifty on. Take care all
Xx

Morning all,
Car dropped at garage, wm just about to finish, bedding changed and queuing for its wm turn, hair washed and tamed, until I go out in the damp and wind of course.
A friend is coming for lunch. We haven’t seen each other for over 2 years, so I have a pile of presents to off load in her direction. I have no idea what is actually in the wrapped up parcels any more!Probably just enough time to sparkle the bathroom before she arrives.
ASB - did you get your wood burner glass sorted? Fingers crossed that you did x
Hugs, sticks and spoons here as needed xx11 -
3rd run
Squeak doing her book class, OH in his 3rd week of training, bed sheets from the girls bed on the line.. the blood stains have not washed out at all. WM x1
I'm knitting a blue cardy now after finishing the yellow one last night I love these top-down all-in-one patterns.. I hate sewing sleeves in.
2 loads of washing taken upstairs and OH folded them while he was in his training.. win.. I'm doing that again!
Off to sort food and slurp my cuppa and feed OH and get some chicken uot for chicken and leek bake for tomorrow.
