Frustrating day with very little progress. Phoned the charity - not accepting furniture atm, they have too much. Later I tried BHF -started to fill in the online form, had got up to 18 items (they will take bags of donations with the furniture so included an electric fan, fridge-freezer, one bag of bits, two paintings and one large embroidery sampler. Picked preferred days for collection (earliest was 7th March) and then it asked again about upholstery labels. Thought I'd just better check - the upholstered stuff is relatively new (7 - 10 years) but couldn't find labels and I wasn't turning armchairs over to check if they were on the bottom. Tried the footstool - nothing but there were some 'staples' and something yellow had been attached. Think mum's mania for 'tidiness' has meant she cut the fire safety labels off so will be stuck with them. Tried to take them off my list (getting rid of 15 items was better than nothing) and the screen froze.
Niece is going to come on Monday or Tuesday and we'll go over them again. I also asked for decisions on a couple of other items and she will take the kippers and dog scraps so I can turn the fridge freezer off if I want to - if it's going to be the second week in March before they can collect, I might buy some fish and start on the mushy peas mountain. Just want a bit of variety in my meals. Will also prepare some letters for my brother to sign.
Couldn't muster the energy to go shopping or take stuff to my house but have finished another book. Will look at things afresh tomorrow morning but think I need to do something fun (does going to the cemetery count)?
I'm grateful - on a things could be a lot worse basis. Couldn't go to film club because I needed to print an e-ticket or put it on my phone. Might have been all right at the afternoon one but was still wading through bits of paper. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -

Spendy day here. Clicked and collected weeks shopping from Mr T and somehow managed to spend £100 in HB (eek) although £20 was for one of my lovely customers who is 99 and blind and can’t really go out.
Today I am grateful for a visit from my friend, OH going by himself to collect the shopping(he can’t usually be trusted with the substitutions) Hearing from DS1 who has added a skunk to his list of wildlife spottings!10 -
Hugs @greent, rest up & relax, the chaise is all yours!
A beautiful morning, the sun shining & birds singing. The first third of the working day went well, middle wasn't, but able to tag along with a group going for a walk in the afternoon, looking for signs of spring, which was lovely. Managed to light the stove again. Me & DS3 had pancakes for tea. Tried phoning hubby a couple of times, but no answer, so I phoned the hospital direct & the nurse said he's doing fine. Have just managed to speak to him now, & he's flying back home in the morning 😃
Watched the last two episodes of a series & did some knitting.
Grateful for blasting great songs on the radio & singing at the top of my voice on the way to work, someone making me laugh at lunchtime, birdsong, a nature walk, knittingUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Was a spend day today. Will put spends into my notebook tomorrow. Not long back from a night out. It is the latest I have been up, long past my normal bedtime. Also latest that I have been out for a very long while and out of my comfort zone due to my mh.
Grateful for:
Having half days leave.
Having a fun night out with work colleagues.
Went to my favourite shop after work and brought some treats.
Getting a lift to the venue and back home from a work colleague.
Started to read a new library book.

Hi to greent glad the op went well.
Just added spends and budgets all on track, so I'm happy with that. Not doing too well on the NSDs though, probably on 8.
Tried to swallow a huge frog with the bank yesterday but things didn't go very well. Commission is usually payable on current accounts here and I wanted to try to avoid it. The only way was to sign up for a credit card which I didn't really want with a credit limit I really shouldn't have. I know I shouldn't have signed up then and there but I think I will cancel the card and just cough up the commission after all that. It's not a huge amount of money but the principle of it... anyway, spent 50 minutes in there and didn't come away with what I wanted which was a savings account.... they just wanted to get me in there to try to sell me a loan and various gadgets they are peddling....annoying.
So I still need my savings account or just ideally different "pots" within the same account so I can separate things. It seems to be too much to ask. Every account comes with some sort of fees.
having said all that, I am grateful for having the nice problem of where to put savings, for it finally raining today (I don't think had rained this year before that) and for lazy Saturday mornings which I love.
have a wonderful weekend turtles

I've had a lovely day. Slept well. Decided I wasn't going to get anything to the post box before collection time so didn't even bother looking (most of it is unimportant anyway). Checked bus times, phoned for a taxi to my house, put a box of books and the winter quilt inside and picked up the drinks I bought the other day, dropped a book off at the library, crossed the main road, checked bus times again (lost 20 minutes waiting for the taxi).
Went to the sandwich bar around the corner, just in case I could still make the bus (wasn't going without food) but there was a couple inside with a child in a pushchair and they spent about 10 minutes getting their food (I stayed outside because they needed to turn the pushchair round to get out) so missed that bus but knew they were every half hour.
Walked across to buy my latest puzzle book and got a copy of the large print one too. Went to the correct stand in the bus station and sat reading until the bus came. Caught the bus as far as the cemetery and had a fun afternoon. Did two of the family graves ten sat on a bench under the trees to eat my lunch. Went to hunt down my other grandma's grave (I know roughly where it is but two of the plots have similar features) then looked for my great grandparent's grave. No luck (I've only been twice and that was about 4 years ago) so distributed the rest of the plastic flowers as I saw fit - 4 airmen killed in WWII.
Thought I would just have missed the bus but saw it sail past (couldn't have got there in time). Went to the loo and crossed the road to the bus stop. The little bay of shops has turned into a cafe/ bar so went inside in search of something hot (had got chilled through in the cemetery). Not doing hot food (started again at 4 pm) but I ordered another sandwich and was inside long enough for my hands to get warm.
Only 12 minutes to wait for the bus. Got off the stop before the bus station and went in Tossco. Spent quite a lot but my basket was overflowing. Have more than a few ready meals all picked on the number of green traffic lights they had. Also spent a long time picking alternative yoghurts to try (least sugar content) an an own brand 'phili' type spread. Phoned for the taxi, put food away when I got in, ate my sandwich whilst watching one of the films I'd started and have decamped to the bedroom to keep warm without turning on the heating (and I needed to take my shoes off).
I've made some tea so I can soak my eyes when it's cold enough and I'm turning the laptop off in a minute and will read and do puzzles until I'm ready to sleep.
Really grateful for a lovely dayMy mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage11 -
Today I am grateful for finding some sweet smelling potted daffs to plant out, for dh taking dc bouldering and filling up with fuel (it's up to 151.9 per litre here!), for getting some work admin completed, for dc having a bath (it can be a battle I don't often bother having...), for rugby galore.

Evening Turtles. Not an NSD today. Budgets all done and ready for payday on Monday.Walked a couple of miles for the first time in 3 weeks due to my foot injury with no ill effects, so hopefully that’s it for this time, although I happen to know that OH has bought me a foot massager for my birthday tomorrow so hopefully that will help.
Sitting here with a lump of paper towel wrapped round my finger having cut myself on some cling film???
Today I am grateful for a visit from mil, nephew and niece, naughty kitten curled up on footstool with stray cat that comes in most days and a pre birthday takeaway (there would be mutiny if I did not produce a roast dinner on a Sunday)9
