Given the 2 recent and significant gas explosions I would be wanting to know where my safety isolation is and how to operate it.

With all the gas explosions lately, if I were the OP I'd be more concerned where the shut off valve is more now than ever before!
Do we know for certain that he wasn't caught out whist trying to find the valve in the recent explosions, morbid thought, but we may never hear from him again and may never find out what was behind the panel.

Thanks for closing the chapter, now how do we go about Barretts and getting them to move it? Or is it green gas

It also makes sense about the delays in updates as you were clearly on holiday !!!!!

Thanks for coming back with an update.

Now begs the question of what the meter reading IS compared to your estimated bills!?!?

Are you due a big refund, a big bill, or is it about right?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

    Hoorah

Having now found it - is the serial number the same as on your bill ?

Have you been able to read the meter and if so have you given the reading to Eon.  You started this thread trying to reclaim £500 of credit -  what was the final situation. ?

Take that £100 and move on -  a good story for the grandchildren

So is the meter in a proper box or simply hidden in bushes?

The big question, as others have said, is now how far away from reality are the estimated reads, and who owes who money?
I seem to recall way back in this thread that a meter reader claimed to have read the meter. Maybe he did, now the OP has found it.
Do please update us again OP.

If it's just in the undergrowth it'll probably be rusted to hell !!  - and I'd be very concerned that the shut off valve would be gummed up !!

I'm disappointed, early on I said take a photo of each side of your house it will be there somewhere 😥

Oh well I hope you don't end up with a massive bill when you read the actual against what you have been charged
