I have a claim form where the claimant is VCS. The address for sending documents is given as Elms Legal Ltd.
The claim contains a statement (Particulars of Claim) and the Claimant believes that the facts in the statement are true. ES-L  states he is duly authorised by VCS to sign the statement. There is no mention of ES-L being a solicitor or a consultant.
  • Is there any way I can get/see a copy of this?Thanks.
  • Anyone else got such a letter recently that would give lie to Elms statement that ESL is just a consultant to VCS? Please get in touch.

I'm not sure how a claim form helps.

A law firm (even a roboclaim gutter dweller) is allowed to sign a claim if they are instructed - have a look at Google images of any BW Legal or DCBLegal parking claim forms and it is correct that a named person from the 'law' firm signs.

  • Lengthy referral of VCS made to the IPC this morning. This follows a formal request to the DVLA to investigate VCS' contract with LJLA. Said airport appears to be engaging with on foot of a promise from me to have my MP involved. Will keep you all updated.

  • Does anyone know if the DfT has ratified new by-laws at LJLA yet? I can't seem to find definitive evidence. Any experts out there willing or able to answer this question? Thanks.

I've heard nothing of any update. There was lots of drafts, redrafts .... and stalemate. A FOI request to the DfT should flush out the current position.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Great. Tomorrow I'm meeting with the lass who signed the contract with VCS on behalf of LJLA. Was told last week by LJLA 'there are no bylaws'. More lies.
  • Well, that was a convincing victory. Just how I like them. And Liverpool Airport now have a few legal headaches to sort.
