I sincerely hope that Rolls Royce are encouraged to build their Mini Nuclear stations. I see they converted Drax to burn wood pellets as it should be more eco friendly, however it churns out as least or more co2 than a gas or coal power station
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -

I don't have anything against EVs, it's just not for everyone. I'm sure it's perfect for town traffic or shorter ranges, but not for long range drivers. And I would be under stress all the time worrying about range. And public charging infrastructure is not there yet, so without charger at home or work, it's a hassle.

Charging infrastructure is growing rapidly all the time as EV's continue to grow as a % of cars sold.2 -
I know ICE as either frozen water or In Car Entertainment.
Clearly its neither here so what is it?1 -

Remember that most of the car is the same between an ICE and an EV. There may be a different chassis to take the batteries, drivetrain, etc. But the same shell, glass, interior, wheels, paint, cabin electrics, etc.
So it's entirely possible that all of the cars will finish on the same line.

I also saw a Volkswagen ID roll up - back into a Tesla space then try and work out how to plug in. No idea if that is feasible with an adaptor and an account or what. Anyway he gave up and headed off to the non-Tesla bank of chargers - which was full. If he was low on charge - how long did he have to sit watching for a space to come free? Then another however long to charge...I suspect that if it does become an issue* then they'll either extend the free time limit or have some kind of validation machine.* Most users should be able to fast charge in 30 minutes at most, and more users should mean more chargers, so I think that short of bank holiday weekends no-one should need to wait for 1.5 hours just to get onto a charger.0
