Oh YL! I'm so sorry to hear that 😔 I hope he stays free of symptoms
DH came home from work & did a food shop 🙂 While he was out i had a call that the car was ready, so he took me over there before heading off to pick up DS. I still had a little person with me, but luckily I had taken out one of the car seats from my car and had a spare to hand! I just had time to give him his tea when we got back before he was picked up.
Bins have all been emptied, recycling sorted. DH is finishing off that job now he is home 😁 We have so much cardboard in this house, I am so looking forward to bin day!8 -
Very sorry to hear about your awful day, YL. I hope things improve for you tomorrow xxx
And the same for the pigpen household. Get well soon, all of you xxx
Rosie had a good walk before lunch. DH has had his blood taken, and I managed to do three errands on the way to and from the horse piddle.
Later I popped round to see a friend whose mother's funeral took place yesterday.
I have emptied all the rubbish bins in the house and put out the black bin and recycling bags for tomorrow's collection.
I have also carried the donate box and bag out to my car, ready for delivery to the CS tomorrow.
The DR table (just inside the front door, so a dumping ground) is clear of everything except a bowl of hyacinths and two amaryllis potsAnd by potting up the amaryllis bulbs, I was able to throw away the empty boxes with the recycling, and clear even more space on the utility worktops.
I think that's progress.

DS2 and Boog tested positive now.. Boog was -ve the is afternoon.. then he coughed.. and I looked at him and made him do the test, supervised like a toddler
I knew he hadn't done it properly earlier.
That's everyone down with it now.. OH back at work and Meem hopefully still immune from her stint in July.. and Moomin in hiding..
Thats my house done in one fell swoop which is pretty fantastic for us.. we usually get stuff one after another which would prolong the agony forever. .. Very organised this time, I'm almost proud.
YL.. I'd have reported it as negative and gone anyway.. hospitals are rife with it and if we (as a household of autoimmune disease/low immunity/underlying disorder) are any indication of how it is I don't know what the big deal is. We all know the stats are cooked, baked and double fried to create fear and no one knows their elbow from their knee any more.. I was at the pint of not caring by April 2020 lol.

Sorry to hear about all the sickies and those preparing for nasty medical stuff. On the medical side, Mr N was meant to have his follow-up consultation to see if he is deemed in pain enough for him to go on different meds for his RA yet, so he's stopped the ordinary (nausea-making) one for a week or so.......so today he had notification that the long-awaited consultation (tomorrow) is going to be by phone......will the consultant say oh I can't tell your pain/joint movement/level by phone, it was a mistake, come back in 3 months time or whether he will give Mr N the benefit of the doubt over the phone and accept whatever pain level Mr N says he's got.
minimal flying today as I did so much yesterday.
- did a gym swim
- continued writing report for yesterday's (oops the clock just moved on; it's now the day before yesterday's) report.
- shopping list ready for tomorrow
- went to Bible class
- read both meters, added readings to my spreadsheet and online account.
- planned route so friend and I can walk to inspect local-ish river swimming, incorporating 2 car parks to see which is best, walk along river bank to find access points and a pub for lunch. Got it sorted on the map, so will do it in a couple of weeks.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Good morning lovelies,
The BD was firmly on my chest this morning - it took all my might but I flung off the covers (and the BD) and spun into action.
Children away to school, WM on, chickens sorted and fed, WULTD. Beds made as well. Now time for a bit of breakfast. I started watching Downton last night, I never saw it first time round and its on Netflix now, I really enjoyed it.
Catch up later, take care all x10 -
YL With the cancer OH had, he had to do the prep work as well, bottles of medical stuff kept arriving by post, and his was not the sort you swallowed, he had to do it several times over the course of his treatment so they could check on things. As you say not nice at all. I hope your DS is ok.Dizzy you must make sure you get enough sleep, you cannot work overnight and during the day, you have such a busy life, you will be running on empty, take care.Pigpen, GWS to all your family.ASB you take care as well, you are so busy as well, I hope the chicks are ok, with being kept in due to the avian flu that is around. The rest of you are all so busy as well, so make a little time for yourselves, these dark night / morning IMO do not help.Cats sorted, cat 2 is bringing in leaves, to play with and as presents for us.Hoovering doneMore ironing doneOther stuff done.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning everyone. A big bright and cheery hello to you all and coping, healing vibes as needed. It's actually very cold, grey and damp here but I've put my best smile on and imagining it's a bright day.
Bed made, clothes picked up, rooms aired
WM on
HHI basket empty
Banking and spreadsheets checked
Mid month savings review done and discussed with OH as he's working from home
Need to go out to pay dentist later today which is going to be very expensive, but we do get most of it refunded my our health insurance, will also pop into discount/clearance shop I visited for the first time last week. I bought some frozen fish and last night we tried a piece of hot smoked salmon which was fantastic and incredibly good value so going to see if they've got any more.
Off to try and declutter something, somewhere
