Morning all
ASB both boys bedroom carpets need replacing here too and DS2s bedroom seriously needs decorating. I like having carpets in the bedrooms but I will also wait until we can afford to replace them. Their bedrooms are not used all the time now so we could probably get away with something cheap and cheerful.
Didnt sleep well, DS1 has to go to hospital for colonoscopy today and had a bit of a meltdown last night. I need to wake him up soon and encourage him to have some more of the nasty bowel clearing stuff (which is not going to go down well). I am going into the paid stuff for a bit then taking him to hospital later. Not sure what I am going to do with myself while he is in the hospital.
LR needs a dust and tidy but nothing major, DW is to empty and refill, and it might just be possible to get some washing out. DH is home today so hopefully can do some of that.
Be kind to yourselves ladies, especially those who are poorly or just generally have lots to deal with right now x11 -
Morning all. Hugs and GWS wishes to all of you who have lurgy.
Progress is slow here but I like posting on here as it reminds me that progress is progress and better is good. Little by little I've been picking at one of my kitchen dressers, last week saw the stuff piled on the top rehomed in it or recycled and then yesterday I sorted the pile of plastic boxes that were building up on it, it took less than 10 minutes and the result was spectacular (even OH commented), and this morning I immediately dealt with the one item that was put there which shouldn't have been. Clutter definitely attracts clutter. OH working from home today so I will potter around quietly in a different part of the house.
Breakfast and coffee first10 -
Morning all,
Non work day today, but I am having my hair cut later which seems to take a bigger and bigger chunk out of my day every time. DD was incredibly pale yesterday and spent all day in her room by all accounts but I think it is just a particularly horrible visit from AF.
Not motivated at all this morning, although I am up, semi dressed, and breakfasted, looking out at thick fog.
I need to faff about in the DR and utility room - both are dumping grounds for where I have run out of dumping space in the kitchen. Ideally, the kitchen floor will get washed, as it is grim beyond belief. I also have a medical phone call to make for DD which is stressing me out already.
YL - thinking about you and your DS today. Hugs xx10 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, opened the windows upstairs- weird sky out there!!! I've eaten breakfast and supped my brew.
Dentist's appointment for a checkup scheduled for 9.40 with a new dentist. Eeek. My dentist retired during lockdown. I don't like going to the dentist's at all. A new hoooman to deal with adds to the stress. Just want it over with.
On my way home I'll pay the rent and pop and see Mr C00p with a little list.
See you later.

Although there are few surfaces and areas I need to reorganise and clear for the house selling project, currently looking at the end of the unit where there is a pile of masks, sorry 2 piles. I have a washbag of fabric ones which we rarely use but useful to keep in coat pocket or handbag. I box of standard that is open, I spare box I bought, 1 spare box OH brought home from work then there are several packets of different coloured ones and ones with hearts or smiley faces on. I know that sounds extravagant but we do all wear masks all day at work and to go out so for example black ones are good when you're dressed for an evening out, DD1 never wore standard blue when she was vaccinating as too hospital like so either pink if with adults or hearts when doing kids. Yes masks have replaced lipstick and are sometimes coordinated to the outfit.
Writing it down has made me realise how the problem isn't the masks, I'm happy to have all the different colours and never leave home without one (there is also a packet in every car just in case) but where they are so going to sort the unit there on and either keep them in the cupboard or the drawer.
Coffee's been drunk so I'd better get on with it10 -

Morning all.
(((Hugs))) to Fayolle x and YL x
Glad you're feeling a bit better, pigpen - migrain-be-gone vibes coming your way x
So far this morning I have
- checked the church bank account, and found that the Horribly Silly bank has at last carried out an instruction which they were given at the beginning of October!!! That's another thing off my admin list- only about 6 million more to go.
- checked my own bank account: no surprises there
- cleared the table
- S&S'd the kitchen
- hoovered the parrot (it's actually a china cockatoo that hangs on the DR wall; I had taken it off the wall when I put up the Christmas tree, and when I went to replace it yesterday I realised that it was full of dust bunnies) and hung it up; kept the bubble wrap in the DR drawer so that it's easy to find when I take the parrot off the wall again when the decorator comes next month
- hoovered all through downstairs
- dusted DH's bedroom, which I forgot to do yesterday
- got a decision from DH about when to go to the horse piddle for the blood letting, which means that I have to take Rosie out for an early walk today; she won't like the change to her fixed (by her) routine
- ordered meds
- booked a visit to the tip
- DH has gone to SW (to escape the tip???!!!)
- dealt with a phonecall with one of the old ladies from church, for whom nothing is right
Cuppa next, I think!
See you later xxx9 -
Morning all (just!)
Thanks for your comments yesterday, as usual you make me feel much less alone. In RL I am surrounded by people who seem to think we should have showhome perfection, whatever the cost....
Big hugs to you YL - Please let us know how he gets on xx
Fayolle - I genuinely cannot remember the last time I mopped the kitchen floor - months I would say. It just gets mucky again so quickly.....
This morning - babes away to school, a bit of admin done, phone decided to break, washed walls in DS room and rearranged his furniture, hoovered bare boards and made all three beds. Also gave the hob a wipe down, and did a white wash which is now languishing over the airer because the weather people fibbed and it is rubbish, again. Best go check for eggs and give the girlies some corn.
Love to all xx10 -
Grabbing a quick piece of toast before heading off to the big town for the dreaded hair chop. I simply just have never liked going to a hairdressers from when I was little, and can’t understand people who actually like this trauma! However on the teeth pulling side, I have moved dentists and the new one is fab. Wish I had moved years ago. DH, DD and a few friends have followed me and are equally as taken. Hugs, Round, I hope your new dentist is as lovely x
Clean washing folded and put away, QHI, more wet washing draped around as it is a constant grey drizzle outside. Bedding changed and in wm for an early start tomorrow. Bedroom window opened and then forgotten about. Whoops. Thank you, ASB - I also cannot remember when I last mopped the floor. It has had a cursory mop this morning and frankly looks no better. The floor covering is ancient and badly dented and marked. It also has rips in it where we manoeuvred the freezer when we moved in. Yes it needs replacing like so much else, but will have to wait. I have also dusted the DR and suitably faffed about in there and the utility room to rearrange the mess. A couple of packets pulled put to become part of the meal planning, and 2 random packets of pasta found in a drawer…rehoused.
Made the medical call. All referrals have been lost. Can we start again please??!10
