Lovely to see you back posting.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -

I certainly hope life has got easier for you and your family
online dating is indeed a minefield, there are some lovely people out there but they require a lot of sifting.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@newgirly, @savingholmes, @LadyWithAPlan thank you.
The first person I met online dating turned into my partner, nearly two years in.
However I am very oscillaty which I realise is not a word. I have never been that way in a relationship before so could be an impact of my prior bereavement.
One day he is the best thing since sliced bread, another day he has to go.
Just to make it harder, he moved in in April so I could support him through cancer treatment, just shows lightning can strike twice 😱7 -

It feels a bit like groundhog day as he's had treatment, been told it has gone and yet is not "well" and has been sent for a chest x ray. Same happened with DH, nothing showed up but within weeks he was no longer with us, lungs full of the cancer.
Still I must not catastrophise 🙂at some point I will talk money...6 -
Al - so lovely to see you - I was literally looking at your diary the other day and wondering what you were up to. I'm so sorry to hear that life has thrown you another curveball.
