Just been scratching around for something to wear out for lunch that fits. Found a pair of cords that I bought in NOVEMBER and never wore. Fit perfectly and comfortable. Happy days

Great news on the cords.
The £57 duty seems weird.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Super meal out en famille. It's a rare thing these days.
I have paid no attention to healthy eating or exercise for basically a year, DH diagnosis & treatment and then guests.
Tomorrow I will get onto that. DH has retired slightly early although still working. We are debt free except the mortgage again which is good.
I've done little but eat and sleep this weekend. Gradually we're clearing the decks of must dos, but there are a couple of big ones coming up, DD1 to uni (6 hours by car each way) and apple harvest.6 -
That sounds like you're going to be able to pay attention to yourself and your own needs - great news. And that DH has retired, good for him.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Thanks @KC. He's still working ft though.
Quite pleased with self today. Got some exercise, diet ok, did some annoying jobs and arranged some others. DD2 got awarded DLA and daughterofsatan has had a great day shredding wood and cardboard!
Hope it's auspicious for the rest of the week.5 -
Why is there duty on jumpers? Where did they come from? If they can't sort their own duty obligations out then I wouldn't be paying. Daft people.

They told me customs were doing random checks and that they had paid duty (coming from Ireland). Fortunately I paid with PayPal so I can claim if they mess me about, @JellytottsJellytotts said:Why is there duty on jumpers? Where did they come from? Thanks SH. I was expecting the backdated amount to be £300 but it was £1500, I'm waiting to have it taken off me! I've not had the letter yet so no idea how it's worked out!
Good day, a few jobs done, very little stress

Ooh that's a good amount! Though I don't blame you for waiting to have it taken off you - the workings will be interesting to see, I hope they're right!2023: the year I get to buy a car5
