No I didn't have an alternative. Very embarassing.

They are OK. They are one third of the way through their guaranteed stay and so much still to do.

I fetched DD1 from uni yesterday. £200 in diesel.

I drove for 11 hours, most I've ever done but I felt fine.

My word, that's a long drive, glad you feel good this morning.  Yuck to feeling embarrassed at card being declined - it's a mixup/ tech failure/ miscommunication, please don't feel bad!

We've all had similar issues at some point or other. 

Hope things with UGs settle down.

That's a long journey!! Hope DD settles back home quickly too.

Um no. We got to the bottom of our 5k overdraft.

Did some gardening yesterday. Hindered by Ukr Mum who "helped" by screaming every time she found a snail and having to be rescued from it.

Also hindered by DH who managed to "weed" a hydrangea and a geranium.

So good to have DD1 home.

Ouch re the overdraft. Do you qualify for any money transfer CCs or even 0% spending CCs so you can get out of O/D which tends to be worse rates?
