WFH is accelerating my transition to batty old woman. Mum gave me some clothes she didn't want, I put on a super navy linen frock and was thrilled to find pockets...that I could keep dog snacks in.

Came home from school run and had a chat to the neddies before breakfast. Started work and had to fetch DD2 who was having a moment.

DH may have been covinced to take his pension a tad early even though he plans to keep working full time. Should help with the cost of living crisis!

Once I read "chatting to neddies" before breakfast", I sort of blurred everything else out not really, but oh my ... I love the sound of that.

I don't know if @apple_muncher finds this too but what a difference a day makes! Today she went to play rehearsal and got an 8 in her English test.

The neddies only come for a chat when they want to complain. It's too hot, their salt lick is in the wrong place, they're starving...

So Ukr family ferry landing at 8.30 but because of the rail strikes they need two nights in Dover. Trying to find a reasonable room for her is HARD!

Oh my word!  They must wonder what this country is doing, to be so at odds with itself.  Hope they get back safely.  Neddies might enjoy even more company

Aww I took her in the field to see them (she's tiny and they're quite big) and she put her arms around them and cried. She'd never been near a horse. They're great therapy.
