Ditto. It'll be very good to get that sorted.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

savingholmes said:Wow. That was quick to get it sorted. Hopefully the £77 is affordable for you. Better than a varying amount
It doesn't kick in until September. With a bit of luck between me and DH our paltry pay rises will cover it.RosaBernicia said:That was fast! Agree with savingholmes, hopefully affordable and so much easier to plan when you know the amount.4 -
Yes, now there's all the other things...Karmacat said:Ditto. It'll be very good to get that sorted.
So Ukr family need to get the train on Thursday and there are none. (Huge solidarity with RMT and ASLEF members, OUT! BROTHERS! OUT!)
So they'll need to stay two nights in Dover. It will be interesting to see if they get back in to the country since they went for a few days and that was nearly a month ago.
I think with all the traumas of this year, DH having cancer treatment, DD2 having serious MH issues and grieving the loss of my teaching career, quite a lot of things have gone by the wayside.
I need to get back on top of things.7 -
No you don't. You need to grieve for the year and what has happened. You need to give yourself time. No shoulds or oughts. Just be.

Does anyone know about secondary school appeals please? Trying to get Ukr Mum to apply for a place and she left it so long I ended up doing it and now there's a waiting list...6 -
@RosaBernicia I know I've read your diary but I can't find it. Would you mind dropping me a linky please?6

Thirded. All these life-changing events that have happened this year - you *need* to re-integrate yourself, by being kind to yourself, sleeping, thinking, finding a bit of fun here and there.RosaBernicia said:apple_muncher said:No you don't. 100% agree. You have been pushing hard. Not surprising if you wobble sometimes or everything doesn't get done.Karmacat said:
