Thank you SH.
Today I must do (polite) battle with the ward who insist I may visit between 3-4 pm or do the other thing.
I have to collect my DS from primary school at 3.30 so given the hospital is a 90 minute drive away, I am not sure that will work.
I understand about Covid, but a little flexibility and compassion would be a great gift right now.
Normally I'd rope in the rents to have the kids but with OhmyGodicron rife, and them being some time away from jab#3 I can't take the chance.
Have a great day everyone!6 -
Oh my word - yes, flexibility and compassion, yes please, I hope it was fruitful. They must know how much somebody in your position has to juggle!2023: the year I get to buy a car6

About the fifth person I spoke to got it. I don't think they realise that the hospital serves a city and about a fifty mile radius around it. Except on one side where it's the sea.
DH is up and in a chair. It was lovely to see him. He has good morphine button control and he's drinking water.
I have some new job tasks to complete this evening. Kids have just done the big muck out of the piggies. The fire is roaring and DD1 liked her presents which she opened a day early. I managed to squeeze in counselling sat in the hospital car park.
More visiting tomorrow and some domestic godessing planned. It is a good thing I'm off work.

Such good news in the end, and I'm glad he seemed okay. I can inform you right now that you're *already* a domestic goddess, managing to juggle so much.

That is a lot to be juggling. Well done on fitting in a counselling session, albeit in the car park.

So pleased DH is ok and the ward decided to be flexible. It was tough visiting my dad in hospital in summer terms of gaining access. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k6
