That's country living for you Al.We have a corporate spreadsheet for home working and flexi that everybody completes and adds to the electronic team storage area. It works perfectly, is very straightforward and was a joy to use until Micromanager McGhee decided that we had to do so daily. Aye, because knowing my hours once a week versus four times a week makes any difference to anyone
I am being mildly amused by the Aga saga, they seem to be such a staple of country life. My parents have a Rayburn (which I have just discovered is an Aga of sorts). It comes with a handy warming drawer that crofters use for lambing!
I like rayburns too. I've found one to buy but just trying to sort out its collection.
There was a queue in the vaccine centre but the nurse was very sweet and the chap driving the computer was a clarinetist in the marines marching band and very gently teased DD2, which few dare to do!
The plumbers have finished, it looks great despite the tiles not being available so it's patched with white. Useable tomorrow night, I can't wait!
Now to sort out DD1's birthday present parcel.6 -
How lovely, I think fresh tiling looks fab. I'd quite like some interesting tiles in our new bathroom when it comes, but think we'll need to have a band, a feature wall or similar as they're expensive.

The second time if was for the B&B bathroom so we just got white plastic sheet things instead of tiles. Easier to clean.6 -
Alchemilla said:@chicker thank you. Third floor? Sounds grand xxx
It's a boring new build with the third bedroom in the roof space. It's a big room but there's so little sound proofing that we can't see how we can use it as our bedroom without waking DD on the floor below.

@chicker I think longingly of new builds when we have indoor rainfall!
Shower is done. A great improvement!
The birthday present looks good. A pair of dig trousers, some shrine drops in blue and pink, some lifetime guarantee merino socks (for walking and digs), some pringles, fruit pastilles, a tin of boiled sweets, a face mask, a bamboo toothbrush and a tin of cider. Hope she's not reading!
Tomorrow is our last day of approaching normality for quite a while. Months probably.5 -
Digs?

Good morning!
Today I have to see the diabetic nurse at 8. Diabetes courtesy of Covid.
Then last spidery jobs while DH is fit to evict arachnids.
I'm going to get him to uninsure and SORN his car since he won't be using it for months.
Pay last £500 of plumber's bill. Try to buy an aga (!!) and post DD1's birthday present box.
Pick up kids after school and take DH to stay in a hotel near the hosp so he can be there at 7am.
I hate leaving him but I don't want to give my parents Covid by asking them to have the kids.
Tomorrow will be weirdly quiet as I'll just be doing school run and being at the end of the 'phone.
Hoping for firm offer for new job this week.
Does anyone have any great inscrutable phrases to put in a resignation letter?6
