I will let you know what I make of it!! 🤣
Had a really nice thing happen this morning .... I work in a factory that machines metal with a lot of metal working fluid (MWF), which is basically a very thin, light oil. This creates a vapour which is breathed in and gets on skin, causing irritation to both lungs and skin. I have spent many ££,£££s on extraction systems (HSE requirement!) and they started being installed yesterday - 2 units on one of the big CNC machines. I stopped by this machine this morning just to say hello to the operator and he said he could tell the difference - he was running a job that is run 2 at a time, at each end of the machine and uses a lot of MWF. Normally when he opens the door of the machine to take parts out and put new parts in, he sees a big 'waft' of smoky vapour come out of the machine and over his head - today, nothing. It's a bit soppy but this has actually made me quite emotional ... I have and am genuinely making a difference to the people working here and making things better for them ... <slight sob and wobbly lip ...>
🤩💖
In other, more practical news I left home early this morning so I could get some wee bits of shopping done, including fresh cakes for my Cake-Monster H&S assistant (he was DELIGHTED!) and got the car refuelled. We will get to go home early today, once the filter installers have finished ... They have told their office that we shut at 1pm today - I am perfectly happy with that!
Mr KK is heading over to his mum's to have a pre-Christmas get-together with his family - there's a bit of me wondering if I should go over too, but there's a lot of me that doesn't want to ....

Think my boss might be a bit giddy .... Just had this email from him:
"I just wanted to let you know that I have been so happy with your work this year and the results that you are achieving.
You are a tower of strength and I'm so glad that I hired you. 🙂
Thank you and have a VERY Merry Christmas!"

Oh and apparently something 'out of range' has been found in my latest blood tests (thyroxin levels, B12 and ferritin). Perhaps 2026 will be the year I start feeling well again ...
🤞
Phone consult with another GP on 6th December to discuss.

Good news about the doctor's appointment, but fantastic feedback from your boss! I doubt very much he's giddy, just saying it like it is! Embrace it and enjoy that feeling of being valued, you deserve it (as evidenced by your comments about the air system above!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Very affirming and well deserved feedback KK, I hope you can hear it and accept it
Enjoy your break when it comes and fingers crossed for better health in 2026. 3 -
Boss is probably giddy from all the extra oxygen they're getting after KK's changes

Brilliant - well done you. I had a bit of a hayfever moment when I read that feedback from your boss. You must be delighted. What a difference compared to the last place.3 -
